Should I get another xB?

Bookends!
There is a practical benefit. When it comes to diagnostic work the easiest way is to start swapping components until you find the one that corrects the problem.
For the things you can't fix or figure out you have the best response to the standard dealer claim of "that noise is normal". You can then ask them what you should do to your other car to make it "normal" too.

I have seen a few people with the same car for husband and wife (especially PT Cruisers) and it does seem a bit overdone. The problem is that she needs the room in her car for our baby, so a tc is kinda impractical and I don't think I could have an xA without a bodykit (sorry xA owners). If I could make them look totally different, it wouldn't be bad. She wants a camo and I have a black. That may help a little bit.

Just don't get matching jogging suits and you'll be OK.
If they made one with another 3 feet of space behind the seat, I'd dump the minivan for another one, but we need something with a little more space sometimes...

i'd say get an xa and then pop a cheap body kit on it and then bam you are set. u can get a nice lip kit for like 600-750 and then paint em for like 300 so about 1k and it'd be awesome lookin. DO IT MAN. DO IT!!!

my wife and I both have xB's. It's nice to have another car that everything I buy I know it'll fit if I don't want it. For instance, I've bought some wheels, etc for mine, but I might need to sell mine. Rather than take a loss on the aftermarket stuff, I'll givwe it to the wife. I've had two of the same cars before and like someone said above, when something goes wrong it's really nice to have something to refer to.

I've had the same model car as my wife before. The only problem is that neither one was a truck. I would just suggest looking at your needs. If you both need a roomy efficient car since the XB and the Protege 5 have about the same function then go for another XB to reduce your expenses. If you have other needs, you may need to look at other vehicles to meet those.
One very good reason to have the same car is the controls will be the same. I always turn the wipers on in my wife's car when I want the lights on. She always turns on the rear wiper of my XB when she wants to turn on the windshield wipers.

I'd say go for it if your wife is really into the idea too (like you imply). RPM
