i am looking to buy the xB, just want to find out if it have the Side-impact door beams

Not sure of the official word but I've seen in the door and there is a bar across it.

I think this is a requirement for cars in the US. This is one of the reasons it is hard to import JDM cars here.

Scions are among the most crash worthy vehicles money can buy, and probably the most crash worthy vehicles <$17k.

If you have any doubts, just do a search for "just totaled my...." and count the posts of lucky survivors.

Yes, absolutely. One of the major changes from the JDM bB to the US Market xB: Additional bracing in doors and body to meet US safety standards. The bB is a very crashworthy vehicle, the xB even moreso.
