Default Dash/Passenger Door Rattle

I've had mine for just over a year -- the wiper blade metal strip started comng out after a heavy wind/rain storm, and after that always had a rattle from the passenger side wiper assembly -- could see it vibrate. Replaced the blades with new Michelins, and still vibrated againast the glass. Never thought to look at the intake below it. This idea may fix the problem. Good idea, will try. Thanks

Mine has a buzz that sounds like a light piece of metal vibrating under the dash just below the steering column and ony on the highway at certain places (on a smooth highway it doesn't do it so it's not speed related) where there is vibrations. I has 18s with 35 series and it did it, now I have 205/50-17s and it still does it...

Any ideas on what this is? I assume the screens that started this thread don't seem to come from that area and this isn't speed related-any ideas?

I had to have the windshield replaced and in the process the wipers were removed. Since then , I haven't had the problem, so I think it may have had something to do with how the wiper arm was originally installed. Also, the fact that on most 20" wipers, the pasenger side has about 2- 3" hanging off in the air anyway (not touching the glass on the very end). Since I hadn't the problem anymore, I never tired this, but had considered using shorter wipers (18's or 19's) on the passenger side, and that could/might help.

i thought that the silicone on the cowl screen had fixed my problem, but it did not. the salesperson who sold me the car claimed to have no idea about the matter and was rather disinterested in reporting it to anybody.

mine only seemed to start rattling after i installed the k&n CAI and only seems to happen when accelerating. it sounds like it comes from the center of the car somewhere between the inside of the dash and the front cowl.

Man am I glad I found this thread. About three weeks ago I started hearing a loud rattle upon acceleration from the dash, it's incredibly annoying. I can't wait to check and see if this is my problem. I sure do hope so.

Mine soundls like a light piece of metal (you know the sound) and it sounds like it is under the dash, right below where the steering column is but above the pedals and pretty much dead center under the steering column as well.

I took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't get it tomake the sound-it usually doesn't except this one stretch of highway for about 3 miles before my work (that I travel everyday ). I assume it is a harminics thing where just the right pitch of vobrartion sets it off and then it doesn't quit until I am off that road.

Default i found the source of another buzz

i rode around for about an hour one day touching and holding every piece of plastic i could reach (while not killing anyone). around 3000-3500 rpm there is a buzz coming from the speedo. i figured it out. it was the speedo lens! i only had to touch it once to make it stop buzzing for the rest of the drive back home. WORKS! plus thanks for finding the windshield vent vibration! that was driving me crazy...

Default found another buzz solution

if you have cruise control, the stalk rattles at a very high pitched rate. just touch it a few times and it will go away for about a minute.
