Default Squeaky seat?

I'm not overweight, and yet the driver's seat in my two-month old box has started squeaking sometimes when I brake, when I turn... It's annoying and odd. I'm going to bring it in, but I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this strange phenomena.

yes and yes. I actually have several issues with my drivers seat, all acouring with in months of having the car.

1) my holding mech. has the slightest bit of slack in it. Meaning that if i brake hard or turn hard i can hear/feel the bottom of the seat move. Sometimes i swear the bolts holding the seat are loose, but they never are.

2) My seat belt clip ( right hand side ) will make a squeek and clicking noise if i hit a bump or turn at the right angle.

3) My seat fabric has lost its elasticty. I have a mini speed bump in the middle of my seat when i get out of it. Its still there in the morning when i get back in it.

I did take it to the dealership 3 differnt times and to no surprise they did nothing. I was told that this was normal for any car. This was over a year ago and almost 30K miles later and it hasnt gotton worse. I do plan on having my seats recovered this winter so ill have a better look at the entire drivers seat when it comes out.

Your not nuts, your seat is making noises.

that is wierd, it sounds like a loose bolt. It could be something else shifting when you break or turn.

Next oil change tell your service person to note it on the repair order and have the tech look at it , it will be under warranty ..
