Static ..??
it's the fabric of the seats and what you are wearing (biggest reason to get leather seats).
i wear suits (wool) to work and have this problem alot (could be 20% or 99% humid outside).
i swear i want to wear one of those anti-static wristbands (totally geeky, but might help)

hey folks,
I used to get that all the time. But once I installed my Mikochu Über Ground Wire System (5 bucks), I haven't been shock since. Before you get out of your car, you have to ground yourself. When you get out of your car, hold on to the edge of your roof as you get out. If that doesn't work, touch the button on your hand brake before you get out. Touching anything thing that is grounded to your car should work...
Good luck...

Hey CG, here's a link to past discuss about this very ANNOYING phenom. I myself am really prone to static-shock so I purchased the ever-popular "anti-static keychain", which can be found (locally in SoCal) at Super Autobacs - from $8.00 - $16.00 (price depending more on looks and style and not just effectiveness of the keychain). Anyways here's the link with a few pics of what I'm talkin' about.https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...er=asc&start=0
haha i get that everytime.. i got smart though.. when i get in.. it doesnt shock me.. but when i get out, it does.. haha sooo..... when i get out.. i close the door by pushing the side plastic panel next to the window.. haha keeps me from getting shock.. but i still get shocked when i touch something else.. =P lOL
I had the problem in my last car, so just put some Downy in a spray bottle and sprayed it on the seat and carpet once in a while.
Haven't had the problem in the XA, but I think it's because I do what Gabe does... push on the plastic panel to close the door... don't want messy prints all over the paint, heheh.

I bought one of these when I heard about the static problem. I don't have my xB yet, but it works great on my Saturn. After you turn off the car, touch the keychain to anything metal and it discharges you...NO MORE SHOCK!!!
