Default Static and tailpipe

OK, two questions 1. anyone having problems with static? Every time I get out and touch the door, blammo I get zapped, my kids think it's hilarious, but it's ____in me off. 2. Anyone have their tailpipe not be centered in the bumper cut out? If so and you put a tip on, how did you get it straight? Thanks

well on the static part. you can get an anti static strap that connects to yer frame and then trails to the ground. for the tailpipe the only way to adjust it is to go to the connection between the center pipe and the rear section , loosen it and then tilt the muffler until it is straight. once straight tighten the connection back up. oh and the grounding straps are normally had for about 20 bucks.

yea if the anti-static strip doesnt work still take it to the dealer you may have some funky wiring in your box. my exhaust tip was a little off center too so i ended up just wiggling it a little bit and it went straight and has stayed like that so far

Do you have the stock muffler on or the TRD muffler?

Only touch the door handle, not the door itself. If you get out without touching any metal you won't be shocked. Of course, now you'll be carrying the charge, so you'll still have to ground yourself before pumping gas or anything like that...

My exhaust is off center. A bit to the right as you are looking at the back. I kick it back into place every so often, but it always makes its way back. I am having the exact same problem with static. Definately ____ing me off.

I usually only have the static problem when it cools down. I just deal witth it and can't wait til it warms up again.

As far as the tip, definitely loosen the clamp, re-adjust the muffler, and then tighten it down. Careful though, if you have some miles on your xB the muffler gasket may need replacing. Its usually no more than $10 w/ tax from the dealership.
