Stock offset? (did search)
Just had a couple question, already did a search... Maybe you all can help me out
What is the offset off a stock steelie?
I do know that the offset for the factory alloys are +39mm.
Reason I ask is because i would like to use the steelies with tires on my honda civic hatchback (no more meat on my tires, plan to upgrade later but need temporary for now). GSR stock alloys are +45mm, not sure what stock honda civic steelies are.
Please help from those who know.
BTW: I'm trying to keep a clean and simple look, going with the 7 spoke on the xB. :D

the FIRST STICKY POST:

Stock Wheels/Tires
15"x5.5" +38 offset / 195/60-15
i wouldn't suggest putting +45 on ur car.
go or match the stock

Your stock Honda steelies will not work on the Scions because of the center bore size.
The center bore of the Scions are larger than the ones found on Honda stock wheels--you can run Scion steelies on Hondas--although this will result in an unbalanced wheel. You cannot however run the smaller centerbored Honda steelie on a larger centerbored Scion.

Misread the original post--he wants to run scion steelies on his Honda.
Yes, I assume that hubcentric rings would work--I have not tested this, but we have tried running stock scion steelies without hubcentric rings on a friends DA Integra...not safe at all, as the wheels would move around alot, and just were not "balanced" at all.
You could try running the hubcentric rings, but it seems odd that you would run those on stock steelies.

OK guys, let's get the info straight if we're going to help this guy:
1. Scion has a center bore of 54.1mm. Honda's have a center bore of 56.1 mm. The Honda rim will go on the Scion (if you don't mind the 45mm offset). The Scion rim will NOT go on the Honda. A small hole won't fit onto a big hub. No centering ring will change that.
2. Scion's tire size is 185/60/15. I don't know why the stickied FAQ make a mistake on something something so simple.
3. All '88-' 00 4X100 honda/acura wheels have 45mm offset AFAIK. What exactly are you trying to do?
