Default Strange noise? HELP!

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced any weird noises with their XBs? Here's the situation. I have a 2006 XB with 62K and it is an automatic. The dealer replaced the front brakes before I purchased the car. When I back up and apply the brakes quickly I hear some sort of binding noise like something might be loose up front. I will check it tomorrow but was wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar. And if so, what was/is the issue?
Thanks
Dave

When it has been raining the day before, the next morning my brakes make a rough scrubbing sound. Sound quits after the surface rust is brushed away. Has been like this about all it's life. I changed pads 20k miles ago and it still does it. If I walk up to it and see rust on the rotors, I know it is going to make the noise.

I have a 2006 manual. Every once in awhile it sounds like there's some kind of metal on metal noise from the front wheel. I've checked everything. It maybe happens once every 6 months. Almost as if something were scraping the rotor, but the brakes and rotor are fine. Even the dealer can't find anything wrong, and a $95 diagnostic fee ____es me off. So when something falls off, I'll take it to a general mechanic or fix it myself.

I took my g/f to the drive in just to see if it could be done in the back seat. There were some interesting noises coming from the toaster that night. ;)
