Stupid winter!

My car looks really sad. It's back at stock height and the steelies are on it once again. It feels like I'm driving a semi, and I forgot how much body lean there is when it's sitting all the way up there. I can't wait until April when I can put the DFs back on. We had our first snow on Sunday and it's getting mad cold. Anyone else prepping for winter?

BA: I'm already on the steelies (hooray for trim rings!) and stock height, so all I'm doing is
-switching to my "winter weight" 1.5' tall industrial floormats.
-digging out the 60" snow scraper...
-dropping a pair of boots in the trunk (for those days when it's 45 and sunny when you leave for work but snows 15" by the time you leave)
-adding a coal shovel to my trunk (none of those wimpy little plastic shovels for the SQUARETANGLE!), and, of COURSE
-mounting the tow hook on the front, just in case
When it starts to get cold around here I add in the foam front grill block plugs to keep the engine and tranny a little extra warm - you have to watch the engine temp when you start going over 40 up hills and all but for putting around town it gets everything really warmed up and you get TONS of heat out of the heater for those 10 degree days. Hopefully before the snow starts fallin I get in to my friends garage and spray on some more undercoast on all the bare metal underneath - ever notice they don't undercoat the brake line ends and clips?
I have been running my s-techs for 2 winters now, going on the 3rd winter. I still have my rims on though, I cannot swap in my steelies because I cannot go home until sunday. So i just hope they dont salt the roads.

x2 im in southern Pa and we had snow flurries this morning. Im swaping for my stockies after the ptunning show this sunday. Anyone know of a jack that will clear the kaminari side skirts and lowered on trd's?

When I need to jack up my box, I have to use the stock scissor jack first to raise it up, then I use my actual jack to do the rest, my box is too low.

Just drive on a brick. That'll get you high enough to get the floor jack under there.
I was on Goldlines last winter and I had a few hairy moments... this year I'm on DF210s and I sit even lower. My alley turns into a big ice pit when the plow goes through so I don't want to risk my lips.
Plus, now I can buy a nice set of struts and shocks for summer and just swap out the whole assembly in the spring.

I'm not sure what winter is being down here in South Louisiana....
However, i have added some undercoating, more to keep sound out than to keep salt off, i sprayed everything, lines and all. Not as thick as the rest, but covered none the less.
I didn't realize how much adding a coat to the wheelwells would knock down the noise.

I just put my steelies in my Box about 20 minutes ago cause I'm gonna put them on at work tomorrow!
My winter prep is making sure my Box is parked, evenly, on my driveway cause I don't even drive it in the winter...here's proof!

VIP_CAMO I agree i leave the car slammed on coilovers and rims on. i bought the stuff to enjoy it not have it sit. didnt have a problem slammed last year shouldnt this year. as long as you clean the salt off your fine
i don't think it's about not being able to enjoy it. it's about protecting you and your vehicle. your low profile tires are not going to hold for nothing on icy roads and the liquid deicer crap they put all over them WILL eat the finish off your wheels. maybe if you wash them everyday that can be prevented but who wants to do that?
i bought my wheels and suspension to enjoy too but not to force keep them on just because i like how it looks. then again more people than just me ride around in the box so safety is paramount.
