Default Surprised my family with new XB yesterday!

After lurking here for a while and thinking maybe the Xb would work for my wife and kids around town needs I went and bought a white/auto O5' yesterday. Actually a few weeks ago we rented a 04 Xb for 4 days because the salesman at Roseville Ca. Toyota/Scion would NOT let me test drive a XB without him in the car. I wanted my whole family to try it out in a normal "going somewhere situation" and that would mean there wasn't enough room for the salesman. So he "made" me rent one. My other cars are a 98' chevy full size Express pass. van and a 2000 Crown Victoria so shrinking down to a Xb was a worry. Anyway, yesterday told the wife my 8 year old and I were off to go buy a diecast car for him at "Diecast City". But we really went and bought the Xb and then for the fun of it bought a Dub City white diecast Xb at "Die Cast City". Walked in the house showing off our new "toy" diecast, grabbed the camcorder, video'd the wife till she looked out the window and saw the real thing...........she flipped out with excitment and I cought it all on video. She then went to pick up our 13 year old daughter at the movies in it to surprise her. Daughter was walking behind wife through parking lot looking for Crown Victoria, saw the Xb and said something to the wife about "I wish we could just take this instead" so wife just jumped in the Xb and then daughter freaked.....................It was a GREAT day!

Man, you're so stupid for buying a Scion. You should have gotten a Honda Element.

... just kidding. We love you.

I totally agree. The xb is way too boxy and underpowered.

Congratulations on a great choice. (not just saying it because I have one)

Good story, I bet the family was blown away.

I must say though, you have great taste in vehicles. I switched to the xB from a '99 'Vic but not by choice. Mine got totalled driving out to school one night. I really loved that car too. But, I am happy with the new box. Good luck with your vehicles.

Like any dealer they all give the song and dance about how they really are losing money selling these things (yea right!) because the profit margin is so small. I did get them to go up a $1000 on my trade-in though

that is truly a great story. there is nothing like surprising your loved ones w/ something so cool-that the whole family can enjoy. i have a white one myself and like it a lot. i do have this awsome mod on my PW xb that looks great and adds mad hp. it's this custom made wreath from parts purchased at Micheals (craft store in MD) tied to the grill w/ red velvet straps. PIMP!!! think about it.

"I an VivaLeon, Santa's Sleigh ani't got nuttin' on me and my XB!!! "
Happy Holidays
