Tanabe, Sportmax 002, Which is it?
For a while now I've experienced a pretty rough/stiff ride,
So I'm asking my peeps running on sportmax 002's and
dropped on Tanabe Df210 or 2" drop, if you guys are
experiencing a similar ride?
Any suggestions?

Most likely your tires are not the culprit...195/55/15 is still a good bit of sidewall considering its width.
If you are still riding on stock shocks/struts I would consider changing those next. You can't imagine the world of difference there is until you do. I have dealt with a lot of lowered cars in my shop and the owners are generally not happy until they have changed them out.
Might I suggest a set of Konis (clicky) to compliment your Tanabes!

At the very least, switch out the rear shocks. That should smooth it out a bit. You can do that for 60 bucks and 15 minutes. Monroe Sensatrac. I believe 5870 is the p/n for a 2" drop.

I wonder why xB owners have a tendency to lean towards Monroe? Is it the price vs. competition?
With all of the suspension work/research that I have done...I would not match up Monroe ANYTHING with lowering springs as an option after stock...especially not on a 2"+ drop.

Personally, I think price has a definite impact on the buy.
However, many people (myself included) have changed out the rears for Monroes because they are a softer than the OEM shocks, so the ride becomes more tolerable. The stock suspension on the xB is harsh, the front is fine, but the rears are too stiff - the ride can be jarring.
There have been discussion regarding the benefit to going up a price bracket for the Konis and quite a few people have said that the Konis are better, but not enough to justify the price difference.
I have the Monroe 5987 on mine, and granted, I'm only down an inch, the ride is nicer over stock. Plus, it only cost me $50.

I know in the future there will be more offerings for you guys.
I know that KYB has the GR2s out for the xA/xB...I am resting my feet on a full set right now. They are going on my xB along with some Sportlines.
The KYBs are barely more in price and work a little bit better for cars lowered 1.5-2"

I actually have TRD rear shocks, but I dont think its so much the ride
but the Cabin sound that all the bumps and dips cause, I think it just makes
everything worse. Once turn up the music, everything seems to be fine
Also the springs have only been on for about 3 months.

, na man, I just think that it sounds more rough/harsh than it did stock,
so I was just wondering if I was the only one, and if not, what would help to give
a better ride...but from resent post^^^^ shocks and struts

My experience is the ride will just be stiff to an extent no matter what you switch out. Im dropped almost 3" on springs and running the stock struts/shocks still. Ive riden in xBs that have the monroe swap and its honestly not much better than my setup feels. I'll be throwing on some 002s again next week. If I hit the right bump my dome light cover pops off. Thats how smooth it is....
