Default Thinking of selling the xB....

Hello all, well, I am wondering if it is time to sell the box, I have been thinking about it for a while, and would like fellow xB owners opinion of what I could realistically ask for it.

It is an 04, with about 32000 miles, auto, great condition.

Here are some photos; I also have interior/exterior lighting, and color matched goodies under the hood (Shadow Mica)

Its a nice ride, but your going to have to find somone who falls in love with and and wouldnt change a thing. Then they have to have the amount you think its worth. Just by looking at the pics im guessing your looking somewhere around 20K.

I can tell you that i have a couple of friends who have been trying for a long time to sell customized 1st gens and havent. One comes to mind as he is still trying to sell his RS1 ... over 2 years now. A stock box with that mileage selling privately can get around 12K. Trade in a little less. If it gets totaled expect about 13 - 14K.

wow....it must be a tough decision! It looks awesome....I would check out Carmax.com and kbb.com to get some ideas on what they are selling for....with the extras, I would think you could get $13,500-$15,000...just a guess.

you have a really nice box, and if you part it out at all i would be interested in the seat covers...as for how much its worth, i dont know how much help i could be, i would say in the range of 15 to 17 would sound reasonable...but i dont know

i just bought an 05 manual xB with 30k on it for 9800 just to show market value for a STOCK one... vs a modded which would be lower.

also take it from someone who is on his 7th modified car & sponsored by numerous companies, 1st place at Carlisle etc etc

my previous car was a 2006 civic si with comptech supercharger , te37's etc etc

PART THE CAR OUT, the problem with your's is the custom paint etc some people will shy away from it
but get it as stock as possible even sway OEM parts with the ones you fabricated and trade it in or just sell it on autotrader.

if you have any questions

Really nice looking ride!! Unless you find a box enthusiast, you might indeed be better selling off some of the mods first. Good luck!!

I am wondering what made you decide to think about selling it?

I love mine and am just starting some light mods due to it still having a warranty but I had a VW that I tricked out and then sold because I wanted to get a new car with more hauling room, less miles etc even though I really miss it.

I guess I am just wondering what people are getting tired of (of is they are) that would make them want to sell a box. I would like more power, better gearing for the highway but that's about it. I am just wondering if these things wear on after a while.

I live in an oilfiend community, the roads here are made for 4 wheel drive trucks, so its kind of hard to drive the box around town. I only get to drive it about once every other month. Also being 6'6'' i would like to get a full size truck.

If i didnt live in such a crappy area i would keep the xB, but it looks like i will be stuck here for a while(new job).
