Default tipping over?

is the xb top heavy enough that it might tip over if i pushed it to hard while cornering through a sharp turn or something?

Highly doubtful on flat payment, the VSC kicks in way to early and does a very good job of slowing the car down...if you hit a bump, then anything is possible...also if you are driving like an idiot, you can roll a Ferrari Enzo

just lower the car about 2-4" then put some fat tires about 8- 10" wide and you'll never tip

Are there any tip stories?

I have to say that in the day I've had mine, I'm surprised how stable it feels and would be curious to see what it did take for someone to roll one.

No.

You'll have a hard time doing that. Most of the weight is low in the vehicle. Open your hood and notice how the engine is tucked down deep. It's not an SUV so the suspension actually works to keep it on the road instead of floating all over like a POS Ford Explorer. Add to that the stability control and it's as foolproof as you'll ever need it to be. It would be difficult to flip over even if you tried I think, and I have pushed the car pretty hard (under safe/controlled circumstances)

we took ours to grattan raceway in the wet-no tippage-a little bit of 4 wheel drifting-but no lifting of wheels in any corner

The xB was tested on skid pad, and pulled .75 g's. They would have noticed it, and I am sure mention it, if rather than finally skidding out, it just tipped over. I think we have all heard of the cars that will not handle the skid pad testing. But of course, lowering and beefier tires would increase that skid pad #.

I think you'd pretty-much have to hit a land mine.

The one that tipped over went into a ditch. The xB is not top heavy and is unlikely to tip except under extreme conditions. My other car is a Tracker, that one could tip if you went too fast around a curve.

Yeah, that pic above the guy slid into a ditch and that's what flipped it. Of course anything's possible. Some kid almost flipped his Corolla GTS the other night cuz he was cranking his neck so hard to check out my Box that he drifted a lane and then jerked the wheel when he saw he had drifted. The thing practically flexed in the middle as it tried to respond to his panic move...
