Tires.
Ack!
2005 xB, 31K on the car.
Just looked at my front right tire and it is looking bald-ish on the outer edge and the inner edge (by the wheel well) something is coming through.
OEM tires.
Just called my local toyota dealer and they quoted me a price of $394 to replace the 2 front tires, $705 for all 4.
Would like to stick with the Goodyear Eagle LS (15's) but the price seems super high. Any thoughts?

That's way too much money...I have ordered tires from tirerack.com on several occasions and they are awesome...Ship right to your door step...Then take them to discount tire or another tire shop and it shouldn't cost more than $60 to mount and balance...Here is a great tire that I recommend from them http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....xB&autoModClar= It finished 2 out of 30 tires tested...You can see how it did against other tires also...

Not looking to fill the coffers of the dealer. Just called Costco, $87.99 per tire plus $15 per for install. Better, but they are BF Goodrich.
Any good places you guys can suggest? Sears? Firestone?

Jeez, the more I keep reading the more I'm seeing that these cars should have 195's and not 185's. Had no idea that we are supposedly going 65 mph when the speeddo says 60.
Anyone know if this is true?

I def agree with YELOSUB the tire rack is awesome.I ordered some 205/40/17 and they called me asking what size my wheels are and gave me all the info on what tire pressure i need to run etc etc.I then had a issue with one of my tires sidewall blew up and another store told me it was because my wheel is to large for the size tire.Called tire rack up and they gave me all the info i needed. A+ for tire rack great prices, review's customer service .

Problem is I don't have the time to wait on this. Got to get this done today.
Right now the Pirelli's are priced best @ $72 per tire. Just wondering if anyone has these on their box.

I had the Pirelli P4's on my old Ford Focus...They were an ok tire...Nothing to write home to mom about...Sidewall seemed really soft...If your in a jam and don't have time to wait, just pull the trigger...$72 is not that bad of a price...

Total (with tax and the other BS) came to $310 for 4 tires at America's Tires. Found a $75 coupon online. So roughly $77 for each, installed. Free rotations for life, etc. Done in 35 minutes.
Real disappointed with the OEM tires. All I got out of them was 31K.

In Japan the bB came stock with 185/65/15's the US xB came with 185/60/15's its the sidewall profile (middle #) that was changed making our US xB's odometer/mph off by @3%. If you want a wider tire (tread width/footprint) then by all means go 195's. If you want your ODO correct the you need to run 65 series tires what ever width you chose. If your lowered, then the taller 65 series might give you some clearance trouble.

185/65-15 and 195/60-15 are very close to the same diameter - 185/65 is 24.5" and 195/60 is 24.2" A lot of people go with 195/60 because it tends to be cheaper than the stock size, sometimes by a fair amount. There seems to be variation between brands on how their tires are measured, so the same size tire may be slightly different from brand to brand. And for the record, the Goodyears that came on the xB are some of the ____tiest tires I've ever ridden on. I had cheap ___ Multi-Mile tires on my old S-10 and they sucked less than the Eagles.

One difference with Costco is they fill with nitrogen and provide free road hazard and lifetime rotation
