Trade In 1st Gen xB for a Honda Fit or an xB2???
Yeah, I don't see a reason to dump an xB for a Fit. Keep it and enjoy having no payment for a couple years! The cars are very similar. Maybe if your xB had a lot of miles or you wanted to change from a manual to automatic or something. They're still really popular and scarce around here- the Honda dealer wants a 10% deposit to hold one once they have the VINs of the cars being sent. I only drove the Fit because the wife wants to dump her car for it. My xB is staying for several years.
Why do you want to trade in your xB? If I already owned an xB that was at the most 5 years old, I definitely wouldn't trade it in for a Honda Fit. There is no rule saying you have to have a car payment every month for the rest of your life.
If I had to get a new car and was choosing between the Honda Fit and the 2nd Gen xB, I would get the Fit. However, I definitely wouldn't trade in a first generation xB for the Fit.

That's one of the funniest questions I've ever read. Fit or xB2 for an xB classic? I wouldn't take either or both! LMAO Toyota and Honda can keep both of those POSs.
my wife got her Fit sport the same time I got my xB. The Fit sucks, and as others have mentioned, it is closer to an xA than xB. The xB has better features, and much more room. The Fit's paddle shifter is just STUPID. Really worthless, just another iteration of trying to make an automatic work like a manual, and it does not work any better than the scores of other attemps to enable "manual" shifting to a automatic. oh yeah, the xB gets better gas likeage.

Better gas mileage? EPA ratings for xB are 30/33 manual or 30/34 auto. Ratings for the Fit Sport are better- 33/38 or 31/37. Yeah, they're just the EPA ratings... Is real world mileage not close to xB's?
Still don't see any reason to trade an xB for one. The lack of legroom and lower ride would've turned me away if I'd been able to drive one before buying my xB. Dealer requiring a deposit and having to wait don't help either.
