How odd. My '06 manual is still running fine, after 146,000 miles (mostly highway - Lansing to AnnArbor). I'm not one to baby it, either. +4,000 rpm's is not a rare occurance

sold mine at 127,XXX with orig clutch no issues....VW DGG's have their own set of issues..trust me I know

I blew up a DGG... to the point where the dealer bought the car back...

Also, the only prob I ever had with the trans on the xB was frying clutches during launches...

98K on the original clutch, no signs of issues, that's really weird. I beat the hell outta mine too, it's gone everywhere, and across the country 2 times. That is weird.
