My wife got me one for my Birthday, it was cool. I took to work, showed the boss and he was like, no way, I popped the hood and showed him the transformer and he was like nice!!!.
So he took it in his office, and tried to make it a robot for like and hour, brought it back halfway back together and said he couldn't figure it out. Took me like 20 minutes to put it back together without the instructions. It sets on my desk right next to my HIN die cast Hot Wheel Box.

that's one thing about all the alts series. I've got about 8 or so of them. once you get them in robot mode it's a pain in the neck to put them back...and Skids is an easy one. You should try Mirage...Ford GT. Huge pain.
I still think they should've put one in a tC though. That would've been hot.

My gf got me one for xmas!
Ditto on the difficulty in transforming...these are pretty advanced toys compared to what I used to play with, heh. Some detail shots I took this morning (I tried to keep the quality down, but sorry if it still loads slow) :

The engine is removable and turns into a 1.5L VVT-i powered blaster
. The things stashed next to the engine are the arms, btw.

Looks like a Corolla-S steering wheel, and something like a DVD/navi system going there

The rear seats fold down 60/40ish too. Rubber, removable front tires also turn a few degrees left or right.
A friend told me that the Japanese version of the Transformers Alternators have full metal bodies (albeit plastic innards, he recalls). I wonder if they have a bB/xB...
