My salesman checked with their service department and told the labor for a clutch was about $750. But he said the dealership had never needed to replace one.

Great post Drelkor. Im conflicted. I have always wanted a manual scion xB but now that i can afford one i have a 35mile commute to work. I love driving a manual but the roads i take to work are all 55 and 60mph zones and i like that the auto keeps the RPMs lower. Any advice?

Auto, cause I think it would hold the value better. Also, I'm too busy smoking, eating, talking on my cell phone, and putting on chapstick.

Have not recieved my car yet, but test drove both to figure out this very question... I went with the automatic because 1st gear was way too short. I found myself starting in 2nd to compensate. Just my 2 cents. I'm still waiting on the call. I'm told 3 days to 3 weeks out... it is in port somewhere.

I went with the auto. Had stick on last few cars, so I thought it was time to change. Plus drag racing this slow of a car in auto will only help me in bracket racing..hha jk
