Mine fell off as well. Have not tried to see what the dealer will do yet. Waranty has long since expired

Hey Moondog, Mind did the same thing and since I was way past the 30,000 mark the dealer wasn't able to anything about it. If I was still under warranty they would of been able to replace it. Sucks mang!!

I am going to take it as part of the emissions system and therefore still under warranty. Sounds like we have had at least 3 or 4 fall off in Phoenix out of maybe 10 or 15 that are here. Sounds to me like they better find a way to take care of it but we will have to see. I wonder what danger there is with the exhaust gas coming out before the bumper. We did not notice the tip was gone until the rear bumper started to melt

The motor blew on my white one at 58K and they replaced it no charge.

They replaced my second one at 50,000 miles so you should be ok.

I have a scion 2.0 as well! It took me weeks but the dealership here in winter park replaced my exhaust with a new Dc sports exhuast cause I was told the one with the 2.0 badge could not be found. I actually like the new exhaust tho and I haven't hada problem since.

DC was no help to me.

Once again the dealership must put in your vin # in order for them to get the part.

Well my deal is I got a real cheap deal on the scion xB RS 2.0 exhaust because the tip was missing. So I was hoping to purchase another tip from DC and weld it on myself since my xB is a 2006 TCM.

I have a spare off of a wrecked rs 2.0 that I'm saving for when the current one breaks.
You should check out a junkyard and see if they have any wrecked rs 2.0

This is what you do, buy a nice tip and weld it on. Cost me $40 all together. Can't tell you how much I paid for the 2.0 exhaust or you guys will kill me, lol.

all better!

For all of you that got this muffler warrantied but were past the 36,000 mile mark, were you able to get it warrantied under the emissions control system? It seems to me you would fail a smog test without it, so it falls under emissions control. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

I might be a little late joining the party but I just lost my tip last week.

While I have 48,000 miles on the car, I took it to Berkeley Toyota to see if they would cover it under goodwill. No such luck. Has anyone in the Bay area or Sacramento had good luck with any dealers covering this item even if you're out of warranty?

I will be following up with Scion directly and DC Sport tomorrow. Any other suggestions or positive experiences from out of warranty owners would be great.

Thanks
