Default trying my hand at custom gauge faces...

Hey. I got a template for the 2004-2006 xB Gauge cluster. I thought I would try to make some custom faces. I am just learning to work with photoshop, so they are kind of generic and might not be the best out there. However, I would like to try to make some for my fellow xbers who dont want to spend $25 to change the face, or for people who like to change it up weekly. If you have an idea for a custom face, please PM me with details. I mean good details. If you have a specific picture you want to use send it to me, give me what colors you want everything to be, basically you design it and ill make it. Im not very creative sometimes, so if i have to improvise details, you might not like it.

Give me a couple days to make your request. After its complete, I will send you the jpeg of the file and you can print it out from your home computer, or take it to kinkos for high quality, whatever you want to do with it. If you like the design, i would ask for a donation paid to my paypal account. No set price, no payment required. If you love it, hate it, whatever, Paypal me $20, $10, $2, or nothing, its all up to you. I just wanna work on something when im bored. The only thing i ask is that you do not repeatedly send me emails asking if its done or when its gonna be done. Im not making you pay for it, so be patient.

Im not trying to scam anybody, please dont think that. Like I said, nobody has to pay anything if they really dont want to. Just trying to fill my free time. Heres a couple that I made real fast tonight. Oh, and dont be mean, constructive critisism is welcome though. Thanks for reading the wall o' text. Hope to get some PM's soon.

how well they illuminate all depends on the material you print them on...if you use photo paper, you might not be happy with it...

you want to use this kind of plastic called Mylar...it transmits light really nicely...thats what we use in the theatre business to make our movie signs out of...

i would think kinko's and other copy stores should have this...should be able to get it off ebay...but that is what you will want to use...

I'd like one like this but with silver/gray instead of blue?

OH YEAHz, I like that but would be concerned about the amount of light that could pass through it at night?
Is it possible to put a matte finish on it instead of the gloss that came on 2 others that I have already? More like the stock one.
That looks like a fun program to mess with.

hmm i think the gloss comes from the paper that its printed on. the best i could do is change the color of the black and try to make it a lighter black. maybe that would help? idk

I may put a piece of matte laminate over it to get rid of the shine later.

Maybe try printing them on a sheet on matt finished mylar (drafting product). Might have to buy a small roll and cut your own sheets. Light would pass through the image pretty good on the lighter ones.
