Two Boxes.......One Happy Couple
Picked up my SM xB yesterday....woohoo! That joins my wifes BSP that we have had for a few months now. Best move we ever made. Gave up an 88 Chevy Caprice Brougham first....and Buick Roamaster last.....Average Fuel economy went from 20 MPG to 60 MPG in the fleet.......LMAO! I have been lurking a bit here and now I feel comfortable to post seeing as I own one myself. Lots of great ideas and cool folks at this site.
Thats funny cause I just bought mine about 2 months ago and my wife now wants to get rid of the ford focus wagon and get one for herself. She says its easier to get our 17 month old in and out of the car seat and there is alot more room in the back seat.I said go for it so we might be in the same situation soon.
Thanks Guys! We are loving em! Hers is a lease, so not much modding going on there other than the VentShades I put on. My Ventshades were here before I got my car.....lol. Next things up will be CAI and possible the Front Strut Brace. Driving will be FUN again.
Just found out that my wife traded her 93 V8(pursuit) t-bird(55k on it) for a new '06 blue onyx toaster!
she drove my '06 sm toaster two or three times and didn't like the cost of gas to fill the 'bird
guess I ahouldn't have let her drive mine?....LOLjavascript:emoticon('

Roll On Floor Laughing
won't get to see it until I return from this load to ny.

Heh, we may be in the same boat too ... my wife loves the xB, but isn't so keen on the manual. We've always been a one car family (we work at the same company, same shifts), but she is thinking of changing careers, which would mean she needs a car
Hee hee, must be a trend. . .
I encountered at least two other couples at meet last month that also had “his & hers” boxes.
I was actually the 2nd box in our household (my b/f went in w our roommate on one). We seem to be the reverse of most two box households though -- the guys’ box is still bone stock, and mine, well . . . not so much. I keep fighting the temptation to start modding their box too. Some things that I don’t think would work on my camo would look so nice on their black. . .
Anyway, shame hers is lease so you can’t do much to it. It would be kind of cool to see a “matched” set. Has anyone done that yet? Maybe reversed two tones or something? How about a polar white “salt” and a black “pepper?”
Oh yeah, almost forgot, PastaBoyNY, did you use ventvisor or Wade ventshades? I want to get a set, and seems a lot of folks not to happy w the ventvisor brand.
