Default UHHHH!!!! SOMEBODY NAILED MY XB IN A PARKING LOT!!

i was working today and came out to find my driver side fender smashed in and nobody around

i filled it in with some touch up paint but now i dont think it can be pulled out. so im wondering what my options are

i found a set of fiberglass fenders for like 220 shipped but then they would have to be painted so its going to cost like another 300-400 bucks

so then i found some CF fenders for like 400 bucks which i wouldnt need to paint

or if anybody has a stock fender who wants to hook me up that would be the jam[/img]

Check for security cameras on the parking lot. Start looking for a good local shop that will replace the fender for cheap... If you call your insurance agent and you have moved your car at any point, you are hosed and will have to pay out of pocket and be dinged by the oh so wonderful "I know you didn't cause the accident so don't worry, here's your premium increase." If you take care of the damage on your own, it will probably cost less than $500. If you take it to your insurance agent, it will cost you a shade over $500 plus a $30 insurance premium increase for three years.

That ding looks like it was done with one of those "I didn't get enough attention as a kid" super tall yukity schmuck trucks. And we all know what they say about trucks... "the bigger the truck, the bigger the dumb@#$%!"

I rest my case.

Yes, this sux...

In the grand scheme of things, it will be a quick painless fix. The fender will be painted on the bench and installed in less than a day.

My Dub was in and out in a day for a deer suicide.... new hood, fender and lens.

Good luck

Parking lot disrespect is the worst!

I hope there were cameras or something to get this guy. Then it would become a hit run and you could get the 5-0 involved. Then maybe they would learn with hefty fine and higher insurance rates. You shouldn't be penalized.

Anyway, good luck!

I know this is going to sound chessy, but try pops-a-dent. I have a couple of nasty dents on my tC (self inflicted so that makes it 100 times worse). One of mine was almost as big. I was totally skeptical, but it does work. It probably won't be perfect, but it will be easier to live with until decide how to deal with it. Plus it will come in handy if you ever get small ones (inevitable). It works great on small ones. It doesn't mess up the paint and the glue comes off pretty easily with alcohol.

When I got hit in the parking lot at work, my ins. company said I would have to pay the deduct., but since I was legally parking that it would not affect my rates. As it turned out, I was hit by a company vehicle, so they paid for the repair.

in my opinion, i think it's incredibly rude to dent somebody's car and not leave ANY notice whatsoever. go find whoever did it and make them fess up. good luck with the repairs dude. CF fenders would be hot.
