Default Using other Toyota parts in our Scions?

Has anybody found interesting parts from other Toyota models to put into the toaster? Storage boxes, seats, little dashboard gadgets, anything?

I'm asking because I've seen people use JDM stuff and those little coin holders from the Matrix and stuff.

I'm even thinking of using an old Honda part. It's a DIN-sized storage pocket that I could put under the radio and hide an EQ in.

yeah, with the xa/xb, it is all about the JDM or EUDM parts to put on their boxes.

Now that would be a great DIY.

BTW ... has anyone tried using a Yaris dip stick for their xB oil? I noticed at the NYC auto show that the Yaris has a metal one and im thinking of ordering one.

I'll have to compare mine to my dads Yaris stick and see if they are the same length. I imagine they should be the same tho.

I will. He is coming over to play cards on Wed. and I'll pull it out and compare the length. The worse part is he was just here like an hour ago just before I found out about the metal dipstick.

Yeah, not that i am worried about using the plastic one, but Metal would be so much nicer. Not to mention the yellow plastic is now a nice brownish color.

I thought about that. But he had just done his first break in oil change so he knew it was metal.
I wonder how much that sucker is gonna be?

I'll have a part number tomorrow if it's on the dipstick. Or I could go ask a Yaris World brother to check his dipstick for a part number. I'm gonna try that.
