Voltage Help
Ok peeps, I have an idea to use a couple of lasers in my box.
Only problem is that running 12v to them will probably fry them
so I need help on trying to reduce or regulate the voltage down
to about 4v. I was thinking resistors but wasn't sure.
Can this be done?

It can be done. My wife has a light plug cord that can be set for lower voltages. She uses it for her reading light during long trips.
How many amps will the laser draw? Hit up Radio Shack. I'm sure they can help you out.

As far as the power supply... don't use a resistor. Use a DC/DC converter. Depending on the voltage you need one of those USB chargers that plug into the cig lighter may work.
