Watch our for potholes
I hit a pothole in my scion only a month after I got it. It bent both front and rear rims on the left side of my car. I have TRD 19' rims and it cost me $1200 for both. I was having a vibration while driving because of the bent rims. The question I have is, since i've replaced both rims, it still feels like I have a vibration in the rear of my car. Does anyone have a guess on what could cause it?

maybe the right side needs rebalancing since you have new wheels on the left side

may i am incorrect, but arent a set of the 19" wheels 2000. And that includes tires the last time i checked. 1200 for two wheels, even with tire i think that is a ripoff. I have loved my toyota cars, but the service and parts departments are terrible.
I don't know where you are but call the city and report it! In Los Angeles, they have a pot hole dept. that goes out to repair the potholes but if you have damage because of it, the city WILL pay you back if there are more reports about the same pothole doing damage to their cars. I have a friend who just got paid back for 2 front wheels on his car. Report it!!! If my customer comes in again, I'll ask him what dept. he go ahold of and get a number.
WATCH OUT FOR POTHOLES! I hit one in my xb a couple of weeks ago....it didn't bend the rim, but it put a gaping hole in the side of my tire. It was 165$ for 1 friggin tire! next time, i'm gettin 40 or 45 series tires :?
A set of 4 trd rims and tires is $2000, but buying just one rim and tire is $614 with tax. I'm here in VA and I took pictures of the pothole and my rims and sent in receipts, a letter and the pics to VDOT asking for them to pay for the damage. I just have to wait 60 to 90 days for a reply.

If you want insurance, BUY it. Don't use our government (namely, us) as some sort of free lottery.

It was a pothole I could not see because of traffic and it was dark. I wouldn't have been able to avoid it if i had seen it, because traffic was to the right of me and no where to swerve to the left of me. As a taxpayer, I believe part of my tax dollars are for keeping the roads fixed and safe. I also have insurance, and I am not turning it over to insurance so I can go another 3 years of paying a higher rate. My driving record is finally clear as of this year, and i'm doing all i can to keep it that way.
I'm not using my government as a lottery. I just think this a pothole the size of this, should have not been there.

part of the scion warranty will pay for your first alignment and wheel balance in the first 12 months or 20K miles. you may be able to work that in depending on how you schmooze the service dept.
Oh really....

My feeling is that, if you are going to make your car more fragile with fancy wheels and tires, you shouldn't complain when you collide with the Real World.
