Well... back from Miami
The trip was great and both cars looked awesome. I have been waiting a while for a Toyota FJ Cruiser and luckily when I got back Las Cruces Toyota was nice enough to let me cancel it and order the 2008 xB instead. I should even have enough to get that 5-Axis bodykit....
My only thought is what size is that 5 bolt pattern?
I am hoping for a Pearl White this time.

I don't think that any of us at the event would want to ____off Scion by using our artistic talents to show the world the new models when it was so obvious they didn't want shown yet. After everything they did for us, besides just making us great cars to begin with, the last thing we want is to betray their trust.
KingofScion, I thought the metal detectors were more for Ludacris than the cellphones and cameras. Guess they'd work with finding them too, I guess.

In febuary they will reveal both cars. Both cars they showed us were productions models. They had some accessories on them, the VP mentioned they had 5-Axis body kits, aftermarket rims, dual exhaust, and foglights. What we saw at Miami will proably be exactly what we see in febuary and then as a production model

I'm glad others got to go but isn't that punishment enough for us Miami losers not to get to be there. Now we have to wait 2 more months to see what you all saw. Whats wrong with that???? That's just insulting to the rest!
I don't think that there is a problem with sharing drawings and artists renderings of the new models. Scion didn't invite you guys there because your are "special." They did it for marketing. They fully expected to create a buzz among the attendees that they would then spread to the entire Scion community. Which would then spread to the entire market.
Providing something visual to promote that buzz is probably right in line with what Scion wants. They don't want the world seeing the actual pre-production prototypes. Artists' renditions of what they saw is whole different story in my opinion.

Sure, they want to create a buzz. But if they had such tight security and enforced such a rule about the cameras with metal detectors, I'd imagine they wouldn't want someone to draw a spot-on picture of it either. Describing is one thing, showing is another.
If they want something visual to provide, they sure didn't hint at it to us and certainly could do it on their own.
