Default What to call it?

Hey,
I've been reading a number of articles on the xb and they seem to call it different things. One said it was a SUV, another a minivan, another truck and another car. So, what IS an xb considered?

I would call it a compact passenger wagon. A suv I reserve for things that normaly get crapy gas milage. Its not a truck because it does not have a bed. It could be a car, but a wagon is more what its like.

Yeah, I've heard it classified as a stationwagon too. I think that's what the majority call it. I've also heard it called a micro-minivan. I don't like either of those classifications though.

i believe the official classification that insurance companies use is a 5-door wagon. i have heard of auto shops and car washes calling it a SUV.

^^^Yeah, my local wash charges the same. If they actually parked one next to an SUV or van I think they would see it's much smaller. What's up w/ that?

I don't think there's any question that it's a wagon. Functionally there's no difference between the xB and any other small wagon out there.

Not "eek!". Ask your insurance company what you'd be paying if the xB was an SUV.

I'm WAY HAPPY to be driving a wagon.

My insurance calls it a 2wd utility vehicle.

That is why I take my cars to a self serve car wash, just about $4 & I get my whole car clean.

TX DPS calls it "Sport Utility Wagon". I just got the box registered 08/26/05 and that's how is was worded. That's something new to me.

when i purchased my B the invoice said "Small 5 door wagon" also my insurance(AAA) has it registered as the same thing. My insurance went up only $28, so you can call it what you want in my book.

Mine is classified as a 5 door wagon with my insurance company. But I work for a publishing company "Auto Trader" and in our books they put it under with the cars, vans and and it's even mixed in the SUV section of our books.

State Farm classifies it as a Van. Feds puts it in the same class as Vans. Scion used to market it as UUV for Urban Utility Vehicle. I call it UAV, Urban Assault Vehicle.
