I paid the dealership $200 to take the waste of scrap metal known as a honda civic off my hands

 

Awww...I looked at this pic and really started missing this little car.

I traded in my 93 Nissan Altima, named 'em Solo.

Dealer was only gunna give me $500 for this little car. We did a bit of negotiating and they ended up giving me $900. Great car. Damn great car. Only reason I traded'em in was because he was getting old.



BUT! I adore Vixen. She's my baby. Haven't gotten this attached to a car since The Black (1988 Jeep Wrangler that I sold to get a 1996 Cheverolet Cheyenne...which I had to give up and ended up buying a craptastic 1995 Chevrolet S-10 *liked it because it was a stick...but that was all I liked about it* then my stepdad gave me Solo...and the rest is history)

 

2000 Pontiac Sunfire. It had a cracked windshield which the dealership made a stink about because it was unsafe. I don't miss that car at all!

 

A 1999 F150 sup cab 4x4 with expedition leather int. and engine mods, love my toaster but really miss the power and truckness

 

Traded a 96 GMC Safari for my shiny new 06 BOP xB. xB pics soon! Safari is almost the xB's long lost relative.

 

I sold my '92 Geo Metro with 130,000 mi. for $200.00 on craigslist.

 

Traded in my Lemon Yellow VW Turbo Beetle for the toaster. I havent looked back since. I miss the turbo, but not the crap gas mileage and crap electrical system.

 

Didn't do any trade, kept the '87 f-250 4x4 diesel (std cab & stick) neighbors went nutz when the dealer delivered the 'box to the house, then when the wife traded her '93 v8 T-bird in for her own box .neighbors just stared as they drove over curb and shrubs....

I traded in a 2004 Dodge Dakota SLT. It was a sharp truck, but gas and payments were murder.

I now save over $200/month by driving my box.

 

i gave up a dodge durango for my box...damn its worth it

 

Traded an '04 Honda Accord. Best choice ever!

Traded in my 03' Focus ZX5 SVT for my auto box, needed more room and auto for the wife.

Gave up the 1997 Ford Taurus SHO for the box. It was a pretty sweet sleeper. (V8, 32 valve, 240hp)

 

I can't remember if i posted here before but i dumped off a 95 Neon with a dead clutch and got $600 for it. $600 the price of a new clutch. Don't ask me.

 

I traded in my "snow day" car - a '96 Subaru Legacy L wagon. I picked it up used (well used) a few years ago because all the other cars had summer tread tires and were not suitable for snow days. I got about 3/4 of what I paid for it back on trade for the box - and the Scooby had some issues: timing belt soon, oil leak, weak clutch, rough paint, door locks broken, 120k + on the clock. I didn't get great gas mileage either.

No AWD on the box, but with 4 Michelin X-Ice tires on it has done just fine the few times I needed it this winter.

I wanted to get a box while I still could, and get another auto in the household for the others to drive - and me when I am having a bad foot or leg day. After seeing the 08 xB pics, I am glad I got the "old" box
