black
pros: when clean looks sick..many colors wheels will go with this color too
cons: looks liie ____ when dirty and small scratches over the period of time(visable)
white
pros:simple and clean look..many colors wheels will go with this color too
cons: gets dirty..??
thundercloud
pros: looks clean overall.. not too many wheel colors will look good
cons: none that i know off(if dirty wont be too noticable or even the scratches over the period of time..
..trying to see what colorwill be best for different color wheels(bronze, red, silver, black etc) as well as carbon fiber hood/trunks etc..

I originally wanted BOP, but when I found out I'd have to wait for weeks to get it, I bought a Polar White box instead. I love the PW; it looks clean for a long time after a wash, and it somehow makes the xB look a little more grown-up and sophisticated (if that's possible). Also, white hides swirl marks. My buddy had a BCP box, and you could definitely see more light scratches on the paint...
well...
I have black (BSP) and love it. of course, I do wash it once a week - dust it everyday (for you duster haters out there the car is beautiful w/ no swirl marks - I don't what people are doing w/ their dusters to get swirls) - use Adam's Polishes Detail Spray every other day. but that's because I think there's nothing better than a clean black car w/ nice wheels.
white (PW) is nice too. I used to think I'd never own a white car because it looks like a company car. but then I saw a lowered PW rolling on some sweet 19"ers and for a moment I thought I had bought the wrong color. check out some of the Florida boys on here - they know how to do up a white box. lipped wheels, dropped, cleared corners and some camber and white starts looking really hot. think Noblesse.
silver (TCM) is nice too. but it's everywhere - not that that's bad it's just harder to be unique. and for whatever reason, the TCM seems like a limiting color when it comes to what theme you want... VIP (I don't think I've ever seen a silver VIP), sporty, retro, rat rod, and so on. I like silver, it would just be my third choice. no hard feelings to Squirrel or Stankubrick or the others out there.

When I was looking at Xb's I was looking at the Thunder Clouds, Camos, Black Cheeries, and Blue Onxs, but when I saw them all at night they all looked the same. The Polar White was almost GLOWING.
I have had white cars most of my life and they don't attract dirt by some majic force.
Dirt just shows up black on them, just as it looks greyish/white on black cars and brownish/black on gray cars. My car will get the same amout of dirt throughout the week no matter the color. Color doesn't control dirtyness, just the color the dirt looks. Besides when its clean its hard to beat how clean it looks with any other color.
A con for white if you scratch the bumpers, it's black under there and it shows up bigtime. Same for TCM just not as bad.
A con for TCM or any metalic paint if you get body work done there is a chance the metalic flake in the paint won't have the same size, reflectiveness, or volume causing the paint to be off alittle, Even though I have been seeing this happen less and less lately.
A con for black has always been a nitetime car to me. They look awsome clean at night, except when direct light hits them, and you have major swirl mark issues.
By the way I'm a happy owner of a Polar White Xb.

i agree with BKCXb
the only parts of the car that get real dirty and noticeable are the side skirts and the hatch
but if you do get a PW make sure you get a black grille or just paint yours black like i did
it looks way better

get whatever you like, it's your car.
Black is sharp looking but shows dirt and if you live in a warm climate it gets hotter than light colors. I don't normally like white cars but Polar white xB is nice looking. TCM is a neutral color.

Considering how crappy the Scion paint it I vote for white. It stays clean looking longer and all wheel choices will look great on it. Plus you can go in any direction with the underhood and interior colors without worry. If I had it to do over white would have been it. Plus it's the easiest color to us touch up on for all the rock chips to follow. I say go for it Bro!!!
White because it's totally polar in an arctic way. You will feel cooler and be cooler.
However, do NOT paint your OEM grill, obtain a black one and swap them out to match your whim and fancy.
Your woman doesn't wear the same thing every day, why can't your car enjoy a differant ensemble?
If you want one but can't find one, PM me. I have an Open Deck, oem Polar White grill and 2 Black Sand Pearl grills with pig's snout emblim.
I bought white but I would have bought Salsa Red if it was available. Then the envy Green came out. I want the green but not all those options.

You must install a filter into your empty CABIN AIR FILTER TRAY that is behind your glove box. Read TECH thread called 'Fabricate your own CABIN AIR FILTER' or buy one for $12. RAV4 uses the same cabin filter. Dealer charges $22 for this filter that they did not install to save money.

i wanted the thunder cloud i just love the gunmetal look but i ended up with a blue one buts its a dark blue so yea it shows every little impercetion but looks nice when cleaned and waxed id either go with the thunder cloud or the black im not a big fan of the whiteon any cars really
Depends... on you, and what you want in a color.
I like my TCM. Doesn't show the city grime as bad as Black or White, stays reasonably cool parked in the sun- I had a black car once, a long time ago, and I never will again... you've really got to love black to put up with it...
The TCM buffs up nicely, and looks good with machined aluminum wheels- I wanted gunmetal, but the deal I got was too good to pass up... probably look good with black accent wheels, too... easy to accessorize with black- bumper applique, roof rack, grille, license plate frames- whatever you want.
And it's not that pale silver you see everywhere, either...
The Salsa Red Pearl was tempting, but my dealer didn't have one, and it's too much of a cop magnet for the way I drive...
The Flint Mica was interesting on the web site, but too close to black in person-
White? The company I work for has white vehicles... lots of 'em... and I know I'd come out of the shop to find one of our big, ugly logos stuck on the door as a gag...
