MEEEEE TOOOOOOO . . . My 2005 Camry has the same thing, and it IRKS me. You'd think that one of them (the Camry has TWO) would be on alla time, but NO, the only way to charge my cellphone is to leave the key in . . . . .

The fact the the rear view mirror is without a map light. The steering wheel could use some sort of radio and/or cruise contrl. The pull (gear ratio) of second gear is chreap. Just my .02

-A/C vents for the back passengers
-I would love it if it came with a beeping noise when you are out of gas because I always ride "e" and the beeps help
-MORE POWER I hate it being so slow.
-Doors automatically lock when you put it in drive (safety issue)
-Too cool if the rear window hatch could roll down.
-Come factory with fogs
-No rear brakes
-And once again MORE POWER

1) too much road noise
2) no 6th gear
3) cabin filter should come with the car
4) map lights/larger rearview mirror
5) cig lighter should stay on and **add another one**
6) sunvisor pull out
7) i like the idea of the back window opening
cruse control
9) lower or adjustable front seats
10) different dash material

Why is everyone griping about the dash material? I find it super easy to get and keep clean. It's really no trouble at all.

some of you guys are _____ing way to much. i know Scion wants to know what you guys dislike, but if they added all or even most of the things listed on this thread, the price would would go up, and i don't mean just bya few hundred dollars.

I'm sure all of you drove the car before you bought is, so you knew it didn't have an arm rest, no cruise, no sat. radio, and its slow as ____! if you wanted something fast, you should have bought a fast car!

I will admit, however, that the paint sucks! this is something you don't know when you buy a new car!

I say Scion adds all the stuff everyone is listing and see what the price tag comes out too. then all of you will _____ cus it cost to much!

I say throw an arm rest in it, and call it a day!

Interesting stuff and I do appreciate it. But I do agree with the last poster that if all of these items you want were to be included, you'd be paying for an Infiniti and not an xB.
I'm more concerned not with what you would add but what you don't like about what is in it now. Besides the issues of scratched paint, have any of you have problems with the front or rear wipers or nicks and cracks in the windshield? What about mecahnical problesm such as brakes? Difficulty with the radio and/or CD player?

Thanks again.

The cheap-o paint
the lack of sound-deadening in the rear
the cig lighter issue
the factory armrest costs like $5 to make. include it for free.
auto-locking doors (could be programmed for FREE)
auto-off headlights.
dome/map lights front/rear
outside mounted spare
fold-tumble/removable rear seats
wheel-mounted cruise/stereo controls

Try automotive Scotch Guard for the stain control on the seats. That was the first "mod" that I did to All the seats, doors & carpets!

OK OK ...The one Most Irritating thing that I don't like is having to buy & install the In Cabin Air Filter before I even left the dealership with my new xB!!! Now that should not raise the price of the car that much!!!

After the first things I brouht up about materials used, I will mention that the paint is very soft, I have had the wiper blades shift and etch a pattern in the front glass.
I have had the front windsheild replaced one for ston cracks too.
The rear bumper need to be more ridgid also.
Will stronger and better quality materials raise the cost? Most likely but these cars are close to being disposable at this price any way..

Almost forgot!! The overly sensitive horn! About 1/4 the times I turn a sharply when backing up, my thumb bumps the horn - and it honks. I freakin' hate that. Just barely touch it and it honks. I am getting to where I fear sneazing in the xB lest I set of the horn.

AMEN! Let's not make the econobox into a different type of vehicle. I can barely afford it as the prices currently stand. I'm THRILLED to have reliable heat, air and power windows in a vehicle that will last for many many years. Not only that, but I'm also getting a roomy, stylish vehicle with good handling and great gas mileage.

Ok, now that I have ranted, oil pressure, water temp, and voltage METERS are always nice to have.

3) 6 speed option or standard
4) AWD like in Japan
5) Better cup holders
6)A rear cigaretter lighter option
7) Better interior lighting
Better paint quality

10) More gauges..even if it is an option
11) More sound deadening material
