Thicker paint. The finish scratches way too easily.
A taller overdrive gear.
Better cupholder location.
Lighter interior color. The dark gray/black shows every piece of dirt and fuzz.
Better interior lighting. The single dome light is a joke.
All wheel drive option.
Addition of a functional armrest.
Cruise control option.
A real rear window washer. Not that current thing that dribbles juice down the glass.

 

Better paint...better lighting...armrests, front and rear...stearing wheel higher up.

Minor nit - Fuel guage goes to E when you turn off the key. Other cars I have owned leave the pointer where it is so you can see what the fuel level was when you turned off the car.

also the noisy cabin when i driving about 60 mph i can hear more air wind then my stereo
also needs an arm rest will be a good option including the cruise controle and tempeture gauge that all for right now but i thing on more stuff that will make us all happier . ok after complaining got to go and ride my box to feel happy again heeheheheheheh

i can think of a few things, the speaker holes in the rear should be round instead of oval, i could use at least the corolla motor instead of the echo motor, that rear wiper isnt really necessary, tranny could definitely use 5th gear in automatic, rear disc brakes if the motor was upgraded, an arm rest standard, the passenger seat could use a little more room because when i have a tall person next to me their knee hits the door to the storage compartment. different color guages would be nice also.and the biggest thing, something has to be done about that wind shield, it is like a rock magnet.

 

toyota isnt goin to increase the horses cuz the whole idea 4 xAs and xBs to get 38 mpg. more power may.......well, u know the rest. sounds like yal need a 2.4 liter engine swap.

 

I could use brghter interior lamps!!! I'm putting some in myself later, but jeez, it should be standard. a temp guage is nice-- just about every car from the aveo and kia rio on up have one. Temp idiot lightsare for... well idiots. That blue one drove me nuts until I found out what it meant. I put my own gauges in (did volts oil press and water temp) but would be nice to get at least water temp somewhere on the factory cluster. Also adjust the manual tranny to US speeds. In japan I rarely ento over 100kph (about 60ish mph) because I was mainly in the city where the bB was designed to be. Here in Atlanta we do 75~80 in the city!! (and the police will pass you and look at you crazy if you go slower than that--happened to me once) Please give us some taller gears... center armrest too...

Probably wish the rear seats could recline back somehow. Even if it meant the bench had to slide forward to get clearance for the seat backs to recline.

 

I put one in for about 70 bucks from the toyota dealer..........well worth it too !!

For the most part you get what you pay for.

But definitely the turning radius is too wide, one would expect a car of this size would have a tighter turning radius.

Also the box has many missed opportunities for storage areas, whether concealed or exposed, that would be very helpful.

The seating material is way too cheap and will not likely last the warranty. So a better material choice would be appreciated.

Some additional options like factory sunroof, cruise and a more powerful engine would be great.

 

Map light and an intermintent feature for the rear wiper. Other than that, I'm diggin' it.

The only complaint my wife has in limited driving of the box is no armrest. and I would say my only "significant" complaint would be the cruise control.

There are a few minor things I would probably consider more significant if I drove the box everyday (I have a beater car for daily driving), such as the rear dome light and no light on the mirror controls (though I rarely use them... set it, forget it). Aside from that, I really enjoy the xB and any other complaint I have is easily solved for a few bucks and a little time (cabin air filter).
