Okay, I will admit that while I have had my box for two years I haven't had much interest in doing anything to it until just recently. I have been reading some posts that mention the very mysterious "JDM" and "VIP". I am curious as to what these are (stlye, specific shop, et cetera). Any clarification is appreciated.

 

well jdm mean Japanese Domestic Market. so basically actually from japan meant for the japanese version of a said car.
VIP is a special offshoot kind of tuning normally involving , large wheels , slammed to the ground , two tone paints , wide wheels with crazy offsets , camber and an overall clean appearance. involving smooth simple low bodykits.

Cassidy is another one that comes to mind. Same with Orataro (sp?)

very JDM/VIP Styles making for very hot rides!

 

JDM is thrown around wayyy to much, people saying there floormats, headlights, taillights, this and that are JDM which actually arent, JDM is turning into the new rice

 

yeah that is sort of true, but the real JDM is still fairly underground and hard to access even though many people think that their rides are JDM esque most arent close

squirrel, I like your kit, who makes it and how much did it cost?

 

My visors are from a bB so I guess those are JDM, as is my Toyota Japan Sports Lid, and Cusco and DiPark camber plates. Oh, and my bB foglights also. Not too mention my bB door lock caps, and lighted ignition ring.

And yes, the bB sushiboy posted is one of my favorite bBs also!

i love cassidy's car but........ what's jdm or vip ? only jdm thing i see is the gas lid and the eyebrow. . he has a usa made body kit ( which i love ) but ok

i think i like it more because its a JDM style...

its clean and precise with some subtle features. same with Squirrels. i think its fairly JDM just because its clean with a lot of subtle touches i dont notice automatically. its more of a style i think than anything. off topic, but what body kit do you have Cassidy?

the true actual JDM/VIPers are Matt (Opr8r) and Hahajoey. no diss on Brad and Cassidy though, they have very sweet rides
