I'm at 330.6 miles and it is still a little above the Empty mark.
I hope I can make it to school!

It averages out (depending on how much gas is really in there) to about 28 or 29mpg.
I have done some stupid driving so maybe that screwed it up. Getting 35mpg is tough (but it's a fun little game to play) , but I have been driving on half city roads and half regular roads, with hardly any interstate driving.

I got to 339.1m and I could only put 10.5 gallons in, so I think it will go below the E a ways.

That brings it to 32.3 miles/gallon which is much better than most cars on the road.

Dang those rims really hurt! The wheels are the worst place to add weight, but style is important too.

I generally fill up when the light comes on. Between 265-275 depending. I put 9 gallons in. I haven't gone big to see how far it really goes.

I usually get about 300 and 10 gallons to refill.

Whats the capacity of the xB tank anyway?

Default Miles

I get around 250 miles per tank. They say theres a 11.9 gallon tank in there, but every time my light goes on for fuel and i stop, I only fill up about 10.3 gallons. Must be a little reserve. Mine is not as much because of weight. My custom box with 3 JL 10W6's and 1000/1 JL & 450/4 JL amps, Playstation 3 , inverter, tv tuner, spare tire still, yellow top battery, and oh yeah I am 6'4" 321lbs . I played a little ball. It's so funny when I get out of box. I look like grape ape . I reach over and can adjust my passenger mirror manually . I downsized from a chevy suburban taking $115 bucks to fill up every 3-4 days to my box $27. Veiw my profile to see downsize!

ps I did remove my emblems in the rear to lighten the load

Well, I've got to brag here:
My all time best was 486 miles (at 43.8 mpg)!

And yes, I was driving like an old lady, trying to see what sort of mileage I could wring out of the ol' Toaster. I probably could have squeezed another 20 miles or so out of the tank (I REALLY wanted to hit 500 miles!), but the timing was bad, as I was headed up to the mountains at that point, and knew gas stations would be few and far between.
One of these days I'd like to try hitting 500 again. 4ROGBOX and Jan06xB have done this several times, so I know its a very real possibility.

I've hit 400 very few times since, but I usually get 350-375 to a tank - which is still incredible mileage, as far as I'm concerned.

One of these days, I'm gonna grab a gallon reserve tank and run it out entirely.

Oh my God! That is amazing! Do you take out everything besides what you need? And take turns fast and never tap the brakes?
I hate the roads around my college, all the 4 way stops are a killer on mileage.

I can imagine if you went 40mph in a straight line on one tank without stopping you could get over 500miles.

Nope, while that was driving conservatively, it was nothing crazy. In fact, most of that tank was commuting in Los Angeles rush hour traffic! I have all the usual xB standard equipment on board, plus a workhorse laptop, and several heavy books - probably an additional 50 lbs. or so - that I carried with me every day.
I never exceeded 70 mph, and for most of that trip kept to the low-to-mid 60s whenever possible, coasted up to stops and slowing traffic, used a VERY light foot on take-offs, used no A/C, AND it was on stock tires (my sticky aftermarket tires eat up a lot of mpg). There was no driving up, drafting on semi-trucks' asses, no going 35 mph on the freeway, etc.
In fact, I know I could have been even MORE careful! That's why I'm positive I could break 500 miles by trying 100%. Now that it's cooler again, and I won't be using A/C, I may have to break out the stock tires and give it another try!

I drive the car like I am in a race. I don't go more than 5 mph over the limit though. I do accelerate hard though. I average 32.5 mpg for the last six months.

Best way to get most miles on a tank: fill the tank until gas comes out, put another gallon in a can in the trunk, and then run the tank dry.

Very bad idea. Fuel pumps are lubricated and kept cool by the gasoline.
