WHAT OIL IS BEST TO USE??
"Best" is opinion. If you want synthetic, then buy it. If not, any quality conventional oil is good enough for the recommended change intervals. It all depends on how much you want to spend and what you think your car needs.
When I lived close to work and my commute was only a few miles, I used Mobil 1 because I figured it would break down less than a conventional oil. Now that my commute is 30+ minutes and my car actually gets up to normal operating temperature, I started using Castrol GTX and buy the gallon jugs when it's on sale for like $10-$12. It wouldn't kill me to spend twice that for a synthetic for a biannual oil change, but I don't see the need.

BTW, over a year ago, myself and another member separately asked Toyota/Scion which was the correct viscosity and we got different answers.

I wonder why some of you think that these fancy motor oils are great? Do you actually think it makes your car faster or run smoother than "cheap ___" motor oil?
It's called a placebo affect!!!
