in many cases, even WITH shipping, aftermarket online stores can be cheaper.

more often than not, there's no tax too as these places may be shipping to different states.

if you're doing mods on the cheap, you can always paint interior or exterior parts yourself using color matched paint (CT/R 576 "solar yellow") with some patience and get fine results.

i'm painting up some xB tail light garnishes to match my car's exterior and then redding out my tails.

I bought the yellow strut bar from the dealer. The color is not close. I used John Deere yellow to paint the engine cover. It is almost dead on the same color. Look at http://scionsport.com/ they have the cold air intake and strut bar in yellow, as well as a good selection of other parts.

I have the yellow strut bar, yellow air intake, and the 'special edition' RS 2.0 cf B-pillars. (Get the pillars...they are hotness in my opinion.)

Also, I got the cf pillars from Carson Scion. They have hella prices and lots of other dealers hate them because of their lowballing. I forgot to mention I also have a LeBra bra and a BugFlector II from Lund on it. (gotta armor the front for my road trips. already had to put a new windhield in it at the 400 mile mark.)

I got my strut bar and AEM intake from Sullivan Brothers Toyota. They are on Ebay and have been posting all of the RS2 limited edition parts. You can get them way below dealer retail. They shipped right away with no problems. I didn't have to pay tax which paid for the shipping. Do a search on Ebay for Scion Yellow and the parts will probably come up.

Lets see so far I have the limited edition cf pillars that say R.S 2.0 on them, I've got Rockblocker on the front of the car to protect from rock chips. Its a clear 7 or 8 mil thick material from 3m I believe. I've also got blue tinted rockblocker on my head lights. Then I ditched the stock hub caps and added some chrome beauty rings for time being until I get my wheels and tires. Thats all so far but I will be making a parts order here really soon and adding more mods to my box.

I'll try to post some pictures of the cf pilars tonight or tomorrow for you to see. I don't have them here with me at work right now. and I'll take a pic of the rock blocker on the head lights.

Kearny Mesa isn't north county. I'ts only 3 minutes north of Qualcomm stadium. There are several members who come us from Chula Vista. We even have people come from Temecula, 65 miles north!

Anyway, I hope to meet you sometime.

It's the only "official" place but rallys happen around Mission Bay, Coronado Island, Temecula; y'know, places of interest. Check out www.socalscions.com You'll find a forum there but you'll need to register.

Kearny Mesa is the most central and easily accessed point in San Diego County. People come from Camp Pendleton, Temecula, Julian, Ramona, Chula Vista and Imperial Beach. It's not that far dude - join us! Hope to see you.
