Default What should I do?

My rear window was busted out by some kid .
They said it would be over a month to get the window and moldings
They got the window but not the moldings. My question is should i have them put the window in with out the moldings or should i wait another couple of weeks?
My problem is that my insurance company is footing the bill and only will pay for rent a car for $600 of time on the 13th my insurance $ will be gone?
My main question is do i really need those moldings?

If the body shop uses an outside company to do glass installs, i'd talk to the glass company and see if it's at all possible to reuse the existing molding. The only problem with that is the chance a having a water leak.

Find out who has the part and where it is located. Find out the cost (freight carges too) and see if it is less than the $600 that they will pay for rental, and pitch that at your insurance agent.

I did this a few years ago on an insurance claim for a rear window while I was stationed overseas. If it saves the company money they usually will jump on it right away, just takes a little leg and phone work on your part.

Good luck!

The moldins are on back order till the 16th and i have the rental till the 13th
Side note the window , the paint and prep for the xb is 1500 bucks but im only paying the deductable of 250.
What ever you do dont break the back window of your xb.
