Just filled-up a few minutes ago. Got 279.9 miles for 8.8 gallons.. Mostly freeway driving at ~75-80mph and some spirited city thrown in there as well.

My First fill up I got between 31 and 33 mpg and my second tank it was around 36 mpg. I am curious to see what I get the next time I fill up.

THe best I got was 33mpg, but I average about 25-27mpg with 95% highway driving. I got 18 inch rims too whose extra weight lowers MPG a bit.

Hi,

DO be careful when using the odometer to calcualte gas mileage figures. If your tires/wheels are taller than stock, your figure will be high. If you run shorter than stock your figure for MPG will be lower.

Thus and therefore....if you drive a mile...your short tires will say you drove maybe 1.1 or 1.2 miles......your Tall tires will say you only drove .9 miles (strictly an example)

If you want an accurate speedo/odometer you have to re-gear your speedo gear to compensate for the tire height difference from stock.

just my 2 cents...

Dave ( I have been averaging about 30 MPG on stock wheels/tires)

When you have larger tires and rims your your trip meter is wrong? So does that mean that your odometer is off also? Does getting larger tires and rims mean your warranty ends sooner? Your odometer says 36,000 miles but you have really only driven 33,000 miles? You think you got 32 miles per gallon but no wait you have to "adjust" you really got 25 miles per gallon cause you changed your tire size. So then it seems that "the man" and "the system" has set up the whole aftermarket tires and rims thing so that warranties on new cars will end sooner and to make your car get worse gas mileage :nails: :nails:

Your a diver as well? When I took delivery of my xB three weeks ago, I told my dive buddy that this thing should be great for diving. All kinds of room inside, but small outside to find parking spots in Laguna
