same reasons that Darren (hotbox05) listed. not very clear and not much bass. im running an aftermarket sony to a Lanzar HTG2600D amplifier that powers a 15" RE HC subwoofer.

lets just say i like a little bass

my stereo has all upgraded speakers. all pioneer. i have two pioneer 10 inch woofers under my front seats and my two amps 600 4 way for the doors and 760 for the subs in the little storage cubby in the rear. nothing intrudes upon cargo or people space.

cargo area? whats that?

my one sub takes up the whole rear and barely fits depthwise, otherwise my rear seats would have to lay down too. im not sure on the exact specs of the box, but it takes up the WHOLE cargo area. then again i need a big box for a 15" subwoofer that is competition ready and 1250 RMS.

One of the best things about selling these things is the stereo system. I'm honest about it. I tell folks that they certainly can do better with an aftermarket system, but for a factory system, in a car costing less than $20,000, this system is about as good as you can get. I've had people who have Avalons admit this Pioneer system blows away what they are used to.

What's really fun is the tC customer. I start demonstrating the stereo in the "neutral" mode and set for the tC. I explain that the sound is crisp and clear, but not very rich. I then show the "Hear" and "feel" settings and that really gets them smiling. I move the volume up a bit at this point and then explain that the factory setting for the tC isn't actually the best setting for that car. I then switch the SSP into the xB mode and then, they really grin. Yes, the audiophiles know they can do even better, but even they admit this is pretty damn good.

I like the stock system just fine, the only thing I added was the 8" bazooka amp from the dealer in the back for some more base. It works great and barely takes up any space leaving room for grocries and what not. It's not a super loud system like a friend of mine has but then again he has absolutely no trunk space with his competition setup. I just want to hear and feel the music, my setup works perfectly.

What can i say i am one of those young guys who has lost part of his hearing, and says huh alot. I do enjoy the way the stock system sounds, especially the rotary volume control **** in my 06'. But as a professional car stereo installer i cant help but want to hook it up and make it really jam. Im just scared to touch the poor girl, shes my baby, did have a customer tell me to drill a hole in the dash next to the spedo for sirius satalite radio, i think i heard the poor girl scream when i did it and i cryed a lone tear for her. Every bodys got their own opinion thou. .
