Oh you poor thing

From what I have learned in regards to living in the country with my XB and going through gravel driveways is that it's not really the ground underneath you that kicks up and nicks your paint...(unless your rocking those 0 offset wheels that stick out)

...It more when you tailgate someone who just came out of a gravel driveway or tailgate a gravel dump truck. What they kick up seems to land right on your hood (mine looks like it has a case of rust acne). So don't tailgate or get a hood visor/protector thingy, although I would suggest both.

Also don't park under fruit bearing trees. But the one great thing about living in the country is (at least from coming from NY) you don't get every jerks license plate imprint in your plastic bumper.

Also get your friend to ride with you on gravel roads and have him call out " HARD RIGHT TURN 100 METERS"...that's alot of fun :p

maple trees are fine to park under

LOL ... common, how long of a driveway are we talking here? 20 feet? IF thats the case there is nothing to worry about. Now if your truely talking country and your gravel drive is a block long, then get used to having all kinds of gravel dust on your back bumper. Because of the shape of the box a lot of dust settles on the back bumper. When you wash it off you have to use your garden hose full pressure to try and knock the dust off. If not, it will cut into your paint very easily.

I guess it depends on how long your driveway will be. My driveway is 3/4 of a mile long and gravel. Living in the country is great! No worries about people tring to jack your box, but the driveway sucks. My box only stays clean for a limited time. Dirt gets everywhere. Takes a good day to clean it if I'm going to show it. After all that cleaning it gets dirty as soon as I hit tbe driveway. Being able to leave my box unlocked without anyone messing with it makes it worth it though.

I try not to drive to fast on the dirt roads to limit the amount of dust on the car. the worst part is if someone is in front of you flying down the road.

Thanks for the tips i'm just such a clean freak I know it will get muddy when it rains and I don't even like driving my box when it's dirty but i guess i will have to suffer. Oh yeah my place will be in the center of 50 acres so my drive way will be a little long

you'll get used to it being dirty and you eventually wont care anymore to the point that you only clean it to show it off lol

I hate the gravel driveway at my house and will NOT have one in my next house or any house after that. We don't pave it because it's too long.

Don't eve get me started on the sap and nuts and **** falling out of trees.

Rubbing alcohol removed tree sap very easily.

hes talkin almost half a mile, thats alot of money dude, concrete is 6 bucks a cubic foot here, so your looking at almost as much as a house to pave a driveway that long

You can always have it blacktopped if it becomes too much to handle. My driveway is gravel but is only 150 ft. long but yes it gets dusty some but it actually gets more dirty driving the roads around my house. Too many gravel/big trucks and many other gravel driveways = dirty xB.

My only problem with the gravel is there's some places on the body that the gravel will get caught in, especially in the rear wheelwells, must have a few pounds stuck in my car.
