Will this fit (rims/tires)
I am sorry for double posting this, but nobody answered my question in the tires section, and I can't find the answer I need in the rim/tire FAQ.
I want to put a set of 17x7" rims on my xA with 215/45/17 tires and the TRD lowering springs. Just want to make sure I won't have rubbing issues, and wanted to know if there was anything else I should worry about. I've seen the 18" TRD rims on the xA with the TRD lowering springs, so I don't think this will be a problem, but I'd like to know for sure before I order them,
Thanks
Tyler

tire/wheel fitment
My neighbor is running a 225/40/18 on a 8'' wide wheel and he rubbed fairly well at stock height On full wheel lock. But from a little trimming on the plastic wheel well liner it stopped.
We also used an air hammer very gently with a flat foot type bit,and massaged the lip ever so softly. We undercoated the wheel well and it's not possible to create any contact between the body/tire now. The offset i'm not too sure about but he needed to install a "spacer" to clear the rear suspension arm. We used a plasma cutter and notched the rear contact area then gusseted the area inside the rear arm to strengthen it.
The notch was very small and i'm positive it's stronger now than before due to the inner strenghening. This car is being bagged as we speak in my garage and it looks as though it's gonna easilly lay the rockers on the ground.
Hopefully someone will chime in with an easier answer than the work involved here.
But it's basically gonna be an offset issue if any at all..

I run 215/45/17's on 17x7 wheels, fits nicely with my Eibachs 1.5" lower. The TRD springs are about 1" so you will have plenty of room.
I don't know why people keep saying 215/45's are so much bigger than the 40's, about .5" larger OD.
