Default Wire Loom Colored Engine Bay Upgrade!!

Hey guys I want to do what Evildave did to his engine compartment. I have been wanting to do this ever since i got my new cf valve cover. Where can I find these hoses? and are they just coverovers that go over the stock hoses? are the heat resistant? anyone else have any pics of this type of thing, I NEED TO DO THIS TO MY BOX, AND THEN GET CATHODES IN THE ENGINE BAY!!!!!!!!!

thanks guys!

It looks like WIRE LOOM that you can get at just about any auto parts store.
And if you check on E-Bay you can get raderator hose in diffrent colors also.

Yeah, wire loom like this: http://www.cableorganizer.com/wire-loom/.

Same stuff I use for all my computer, stereo and video cables at home.

Even Radio Shack and Lowes carry it, but there it's usually only in black or white.

For an engine compartment I like these: http://cableorganizer.com/convoshield/

Makes things look a lot neater...

thanks a lot guys, went out to autozone to be utterly suprised that they had it. Bought two diameters: both 3/4 inch (largest anyone makes) and 3/8. Looks great so far, only have about 3 wires done cause it started to rain. And to answer your question, i got 10 ft of the big and 10 ft of small and 16 color matching blue zip ties for $15. I suppose it's an inexpensive but color effective mod. Here is what my engine bay looks like before, and then i'll get an after shot when i'm done!

read ya loud and clear dude. Already looked into those, really kind of hard for me to install those radiator things. I saw a tech page where someone did it to an echo and he had to drain crap and all that stuff though. However i am planning to put in some orange cathodes hopefully if anyone makes or sells them. My interior lights are blue and i want to get orange underbody lights for a good color scheme. Then the exterior and engine would be orange, and then you open the door to blue. and yes, i was forced to buy that beautiful cf cover cause of this disaster

but thats a different story. But the cf does match my door handles and my gas lid whitch is hawt

when paint goes bad is an understatement, i've made it a point to bring it to every meet to show people the work that the worst painter in the world is capable of

can't wait to finish these hoses tommorow afternoon. This is a nice fun project too, no unplugging or ratcheting except getting the valve cover off, relaxing time consuming great result decorative modification. However some of the tubes are hard to get on, and the big tubes like on the left hand side don't completely have the wire loom covering it due to the size, so i left the bottom partially open, but then again, there's no 1 inch diameter loom that i can find. It looks good with three wires so far though. I still have yet to do the biga$$ bunch of hoses near the back right, i'm also wondering if those will fit.

You want to talk to Bill about the underhood cathodes. Got the orange on mine:

Bill is reliable and honest. Can't go wrong (and he's totally not paying me or anything for saying that).

Damn, now I need to track down some orange wire wrap tomorrow! I hadn't even really thought about that.

Good luck with the mods!

they do cover the corner light, but i decided to cut that section off of the 3M film. I decided that since my corners were not cleared (getting rid of the yellow) that it might make a wierd green color instead. It was very hard for me to even try and position it over that part of the light. I messed it up so many times that i just said screw it and I cut off that part of the film. I think it looks good. JUST DON"T USE TOO MUCH WATER WHEN PUTTING THEM ON!!
Go ask rockblocker about them, it truely is a great product. And if you want me too, i can send you some samples of the film that came in my packaging, it shows every color they have. Little pieces of each one. Hit me up

I am absolutely sure that they don't make red. They are about a little thicker than the fingernail. However, they do have a smoke color (smoke out tails isuppose maybe). If you are looking for red out i know that randode.com has some. Don't know what or how they work. But they do look nice.
