I believe Mr. "ogerdgonz" answered your question as I would have, figuring that would be helpful. Much more helpful than telling you to use the "SEARCH". I am sure he didn't pull this link off the top of his head, it took a little time to post the reference. You, on the other hand come back with a remark that demeans his time and effort to write his answer, and we still do not know what you really are asking. We can only answer, here on SL, (perhaps other sites have mindreaders in abundance). what we understand the question to be, to the best of our ability.
Your question is too broad: Perhaps it would be helpful if you just said (perhaps), I have the OEM wiring schematic, But:
1. I don't understand how to use it!
2. I am looking for where the wires are run and can't find that info in the OEM pages.
3. Where does it get its ground.
You can't expect an accurate answer, when you question is so poorly stated. Give us a break. What is really your question.

First how was i to know you have the manual???
Second i told you where to find what you asked for with out wasting more of my own time.

A typical Scion Life response as mentioned is use search.

if you are a tech and have the wiring diagram of the car you should be able to find the answer.

Goto page 49 of the manual and look to the left about a third of the way up. It shows the fuel pump and the wires into and out of it.

Perhaps drama follows you, but no drama needed here. I have time on my hands, so I will go ahead and give you some info that may help from the 2004 OEM xB Electrical Schmatic, which I have on hand, and the Page Names, so you can make sure the information I present is applicable to the 2005 xB.
1. The "Position of Parts in Body" pages says that Connector F14 is for the Fuel Pump and Fuel Sender.
2. The "Connector List" pages says that it is a 5 pin, Dark Grey connector.
3. The "Engine Control" schematic says that F14 pin 4 (black-red stripe) is the hot to the fuel pump, and Pin 5 is White-Black stripe, and goes to ground.
4. The "Combination Meter" schematic says that F14 Pin 2 (Violet) goes to the combination meter, and Pin 3 (Brown) is grounded.
5. I found no reference to F14-Pin 1, so I assume it is not used.
Colors may differ for the 2005, but the applicable page headings should be the ones I named.
Hope this helps.
