kiss - awesome pics dude. just a couple of questions for you:

1) where did you get the leds and what is the intensity on them?
2) at night, do you get a glare on any of your windows from them. if so, is it bad? annoying?
3) how do you turn them on/off? are they wired to come on with your headlights, for example?

i am wondering if you have some diagram that you used before wiring everything together... did you use a fuse? so many questions!@# lol!

i am thinking this is going to be my next mod too.... but only when the weather gets warming... it's nucking futs in nyc right now. it snowed yesterday morning and we're in april! it was in the 70s on the weekend and 3 days later we get snow!

1) i got them from work (radioshack) part number 276.0316 (when looking at the led the longer wire on it is the positive side and the shorter leg is the negative)
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tId=2102851&cp

and i used a resistor from radioshack part number 271.1313
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tId=2062340&cp

2) no not at all, the only distraction i have is from my serius radio on the winshield. but if i turn the brightness of that down i dont get any glare on any of the windows at all. i just recommend before you drill anything think about where the leds will be and if you will be able to see the led or the reflection of it i had to move one of the leds in the air vents cause i could see it while driving and it was kinda distracting.

3)in one of the pictures of the center consoul with the light on youll see under the air ***** a silver turn ****. that is a potentiometer i used to be able to adjust the brightness of it and be able to turn them off. and i just tapped into the fuse box to an empty location that has power when the car is on and no power when its off.

4) this is a basic diagram of how i hooked it all up:

please feel free to ask more questions if you have them, if i dont know the answer my manager does, he loves that kind of stuff, next on the list is leds in the cup holders and to change out all the yellow leds in the clock, stock xB radio, and center consoul with some blue ones. ill post pics of how it turns out when i ever to around to doing it.

Good luck with the stock radio ones, if I remember right there are 26 of them and man are they tiny! I did my speedo with some semi transparent blue plastic shhets from hobby lobby, did the A/C ***** with blue leds from eled.com, and ruined the stock radio trying to Sharpie it. Ended up getting a Panasonic HU, nice blue face, and put blue leds in the cupholders. The latest one is putting switches in the pop out spots below the cubby, they are unlighted, but I drilled holes to mount leds in the back of them and drilled tiny holes in the switch front, little blue dots (can you tell I like blue?) Wish I could see yours in person, my guess is it looks sweeter than the pics. Nice work.

thanks, ya it looks waaaay better in person than it does in the pics, and the thing i love about it is that it doesnt have any window glar, i mean theres a little bit on the side windows from the speaker grills but you have to look for it, the center consoul and main mph unit have more glare than the leds.

haha absolutely, I'll have about 2 other people at least, with far more electronics knowledge than I do! I wouldn't dare this on my own haha.

its not that hard to hook everything up, the only reason it took me so long is i had to do everything myself >.< all i can say is that it is deffinatly worth it in the end.

276.0316 - blue led
271.0215 - potentiometer
271.1313 - resistors
278.0857 - 2 solid wire
270.1801 - project enclosure box
276.0150 - circuit board

Wow you went all out with the ircuit board and all, really cool. But the LED 's are like 4.29 each without a resistor. you should check www.oznium.com they have pre wired (w/ resistor ) LED's for around 1.35 each....

i only used one resistor, and sence i work for radioshack i get 30% off everything. if you look at the diagram youll see only one resistor to the pot then to the circuit board.

You need much larger pics...those are way too small.
