Default Would it be worth it & should I?

I've had my box since Feb. '05 and I LOVE the car but I'm getting really annoyed with having to keep this thing clean. All of you know who have dark colored cars like mine, the dust and dirt show too fast and easy. I'm thinking of trading it in for an '06 Polar White xb just so that it won't look dirty sooo fast. Whacha think? Should I?...

Hmmmm, do you really wanna trade it in and start over with your payments because of the color? I mean it's obviously your choice but seems like a strange reason to trade in the EXACT same car but just a different color and year.

Put the car up for sale for the price you paid for it. If you get any takers do it. If not you can decide how much of a loss you want to take.

My BOP always looks dirty. Never had a car that looks this bad this fast.

If it becomes intolerable, though, I think I'd lose less money just having it painted gray or something than selling/re-buying.

Well two things...

California Duster daily

and I had a white Jeep Cherokee Sport { it}

I think it was dirtier than any color car I've owned!! IMO just IMO. white is one of the hardest colors to keep clean next to black! We've had several light colored cars and the whites were a pain! lol

But I think they all are esp depending on where you live.

Dust it off daily and it will last longer. If you dont have time to do it make time....five minutes tops to dust the car off and roll out!

Good luck! Plus white is the most popular xB....dare to be different!

I believe TCM is the most common.

That's one of the reasons I will be getting an RS3.

I think white looks good.

My PW doesn't show dirt as much as my black Chevy used to. It's actually the one color that looks clean even when it's dirty. I guess other people here have different opinions. I have no complaint with my white though. Search around here on the forums and you'll see the same response I gave you.

Oh I agree about TCM! I've read surveys online that put white at number one but I know way more ppl with TCM!

Im thinking about trading in for the RS3 also. :D

You've got to be kidding! Right? White stays clean even after driving in the rain. The only time it gets dirty is from mud or a dirt road. BCP gets dirty just sitting in the garage for a couple hours. I can drive my white van for a week ( about 3 to 4 K miles) and as long as I stay out of the mud and just drive in some rain it still looks clean. One trip to town and back (about 4 miles) in the box even on a dry day and it's trashed.

In general dust and road dirt from driving in the rain is very light grey. Hence it doesn't show up very well on silver and white vehicles. On dark vehicles the very slightest amount of either stands out and looks terrible. Hope this helps explain it for you.

the only complaint i have with my polar white, is that i live in Georgia. Red clay everywhere, and you can see it real well on the white (the dust of the clay i mean) and it just sucks. In Buford (where i live on the weekends) i drive anywhere, and the whole back hatch and the bumper is dusted with red. but Meguiars Quick Detailer works nicely.
