Some things just ____ me off. I'm on Yahoo Answers giving Red Sox fans a hard time, and I decide to just check out the Scion section of Answers. Some girl is obviously considering a tC, she really likes it, and asks the following:

" Does anyone have any pro's and cons on the Scion TC?
Really love the look of the car and would like the opinion of someone who has one to see if they're are any good."

So I'm like, cool... lemme read all the good stuff. The very first answer I read by some broad named mommytosavannah:

"there low grade toyota...very crappy workmanship...

thats why there so inexpensive..

go buy a civic si or something."

WTF? Well hell people... we shoulda just bought a civic si.

How much you wanna bet savannah is like a Shih-tzu

Just some know it all shootin' from the lip... The Echo has a lower msrp than any of the scions, but she obviously didn't know that...

Price doesn't seem to have a lot to do with quality in the realm of automobiles... one of my neighbors has a new BMW that spends more time in the shop than in his garage...

Then why did toyota CHOOSE the name SCION which means "HIER"

I know I read on here a post by someone a few months ago that Honda owners were the sworn enemy of Scion owners this is more evidence of that

 

I know some one who has a SI and he dosnt like my XB at all. I told him in a few months my XB is going to put his SI in the dirt. All civics will go down in the end to a Scion. They just dont realize it.

 

Scion does have some cheap parts and that's one of the reasons they don't cost a fortune. But that refers to the non-essential parts. The engine, drive train, brakes and all the essential items are high quality.

 

OK THATS WHY WE "MOD" THEM

Just like Civic owners, LOLOLOLOL

But anyway It comes down to the fact that Honda owners love their Hondas and we scion lovers, love our Scion and our Toyotas. Mainly becuse we are smarter and choose better made cars and companys that a reliable. So keep up the good work and keep trashing those Hondas on the line.



P.S. :How many Scions are laughed at on the streets for crappy mods. Or has any one seen a thread like our rice and taters one mad for us. Yea didnt link so

 

May brother in-law bought a Civic SI . . . Called saying he got "a sports car" then showed up in that. I went for a ride with him and was far from impressed (and this was 5 months ago before I even considered an xB). My dad's reaction was the greatest . . . .

He rides up and dad says "I thought you said sports car . .. You got a station wagon". He starts talking about how fast it is and dad says "let's run it against my daughters Passat" . . . . needless to say he declined. That VW 4-cyl turbo would have smoked the puny SI. So next time you have an SI idiot talking about how good their car is . . . Tell them they have a station wagon that can't even outrun a VW family car.

 

lol some funny stuff there...i like when i get comments about my box from people saying its slow and im like dude its a wagon like a mini mini van its not a sports car...is it supposed to run 13 sec 1/4 mile??but yet when i was at kcir the tc and mustangs were running higher times then what i ran... shesh i wanan make my box do 13 then be like you just got whooped by a mini van that was only 14k ha ha ha ..

 

It's not just the Honda owners that are haten. Whenever I tell anyone what I have they all have the same reaction....."oh, um that's a cute car.." So my reaction is what the heck are you smoken, that ain't cute, but it's my ugly duckling. When I'm done with the engine work that i'm planning I'm going to enjoy spaken everyone who has stated that it's an ugly car. This is why I love it, just for the reactions that I get.

 

I wouldn't worry too much. That idiot doesn't know the difference between "they're" and "there". I think I learned that in 3rd grade!

 

Scions *ARE* low end Toyotas. xB is Toyota bB in Japan. The engine has a Toyota logo on it. Car shares bunch of parts with other Toyotas. And so on...

This is exactly why I bought one. Those facts make my xB a low priced, yet good and dependable car. I see nothing wrong with that.

 

DITTO....I bought an Xb because it was a "Low End" Toyota with lots of room and great gas milage. Why waste money on those other cars.
