Wrecked (Pics)
I was going 40mph and someone pulled out from a side street. Both airbags deployed. I ripped the whole front end off of his car. This car is very safe.... I got out feeling like I just woke up from a nap. I'll post more pictures as I get them. Insurance will most likely total the car, but I'm still waiting for confirmation.

damn...did you go into a tree or something after hitting the other car? it looks like you got a branch hanging out of you fender...or is that just part of the xB? lol. definately glad to hear you're safe.
Just got a prelim estimate from the adjuster. He's got $7900 worth figured on just surface damages. That does not consider undercarridge, suspension, or any other damages. I'll possibly know more tomorrow once they put it up on a lift and pull that front tire off. Good news is that if the repairs get up to $10,500, then they'll total it and give me $14,025 to put towards a new one. $14k, not bad for a 2 year old xB with 45k miles.
that sux... glad youre all right... i hate wrecks, and i hate getting vehicles back from one, theyre never the same, hope they total it for you so you can get a new box..
UPDATE!!
So the insurance guy called today and said they are going to TOTAL it. Awesome! He said the key factor is that they could sell it to a salvage yard for nearly $10k. From the insurance company's side, selling it for $10k and paying me the difference is much better than paying out $8k or whatever it was going to cost to repair it. I'm stoked. We had wanted to sell for $14,500 asking price or $13k minimum, so this will work out great.
Praise the Lord.
Next step is to hook up with the body shop and get all the aftermarket stuff out. I hate to uninstall all that stuff, but it'll be great to put it back into our new car.
Also, I wanted to say how great it has been for the community to show such genuine concern for us through this wreck.
Merry Christmas
