How much longer until you get a new bumper? Or just stay with the bandaides on! From a distance its almost looks like it was air brushed on! :D

i dunno, i called the insurance company of the guys lastnight, they gave me a claim# and said i would get a call monday or tuesday.

can any autobody place get the parts though? or does it all have to be done through a toyota/scion dealership?

 

You shouldn't have a problem taking it to any reputable body shop,they shouldn't have a problem getting parts.Sorry to here about the xB

i took it to get an estimate today, its gonna be around 1500$ to fix. they are replacing my TYC lights too, and they only come in pairs. i asked if i could keep the parts replaced and they said sure.

so maybe ill try playing with fiberglass and making a weird bumper with the broke one.

 

Hope you get the parts fast. it's been three weeks and I am still waiting on windows to come in. maybe the bumper will be easier to get in?

1500? I'm no body master, but you should be able to get a body kit painted and installed for that much.

yes but theres much more behind that 1500$ estimate than a new bumper and rear lip.

it needs frame work to a spot under the tailight behind the bumper. reinforcing the bumper.

the oem bumper cover is only 134$, left rear lip is 97$, the tailights are 240$

im going to just have oem stuff replaced. i have the money to get a body kit repainted and put on instead for the rear. but i plan on buying a 2000 dodge neon this month and would like to pay it all in cash and not use my creditcards or loan.

it needed the rear bumper repainted anyway. something scraped the side once, and friends sister parked into the back of it once and took a chip of paint off. so i had to put a sticker over it. i will also have a spare set of slightly scratched TYC lights now
