Default XB

Hi...new to forum. I am thinking about buying an xb this week. I was really impressed with the test drive. Any info would be great esp from the ones that have owned one for a few months.

Thanks

There is a two tone Thundercloud over Black Cherry i am interested in.

We've had ours for almost three months, and we love it!! And after attending two car shows this weekend, I can tell you that there is no other car that I would rather have!

I've had mine for almost 4 months and im in love with it! this is the best car for the money, hands down! Welcome to the forums, and definatly read thru it all, alot of usefull information in here. One suggestion, if at all possible, I would go with the 5 speed xB, definatly alot more peppy.

Default XB

I was going with the automatic but adding the cold air intake and the cat back exhaust. Also, the 18" wheels.

Go with the 5 speed if you can. A lot more peepier and no 3rd gear lag. I would go with the lack Cherry. I see tons of TCM!

Had mine since July. The stereo's almost done, except for the fact that I always want something more, and just got some rims. They're on a truck somewhere heading for my house. The pros and cons of this car are widely discussed here. Sure, this car isn't as fast as my corvette, but it gets way more looks and actually has airspace for a decent sound system.

Black cherry vs TCM.

While we love our black cherry, be prepared to lavish a lot of TLC to keep it clean and shiney. TCM is much more forgiving, So it's up to you whether you want a practical car or a show car. If you want both, then go for the cherry. Plus there's lots of money left over for mods.

I've had mine for only a few weeks, but I LOVE my box. I'd love to see pics of the two-tone xB if you end up getting it.

I checked out a lot of wagons, hatchbacks, and SUVs but once I test drove the xB I knew it was the one. I haven't been dissapointed yet...

Don't be afraid of the Auto tranny. These guys are still learning to drive, one day, they'll understand...

Great car, especially for the price. The two-tone combo sounds cool. Post pics if you can get some.

You can't go wrong. I've had mine since september and have driven countless of them for work, including our supercharged xB.

It's the best car on the market for the money right now and I wouldn't give mine up for anything (well...I wouldn't say anything, but it would take a lot )

I had one for a couple months but it was lacking something.. and sure enough, it was missing it's twin, so I got another.

I've got the 5spd BCP for me and the RS1 AT for my wife. I have to say that the AT is a lot less stressful to drive.. Turns lower RPM and is not as lurchy as the 5spd. Sure, not as much work as the 5spd, but I dunno.. I'm impressed with the AT so I'm just saying drive both first. But then the 5spd is dropped 2" and has wheels, the AT is dropped on Htechs and has factory wheels..

I have an RS1, love it so much that we're getting an RS2 for my girl (though it's an xA, we're both firm Scion fans now, even more so then we were before they were released. :D)

I drove both. I had planned to pick up a 5spd RS1, but went for the automatic after a couple of test drives with both.

I couldn't notice enough of a difference between the two to put the 5spd, power-wise, over the auto and I use mine as a daily driver, so I spend some time in traffic. The auto is very nice, very smooth and always seems to be in the right gear. And, if you want to go faster, in a hurry, just tap the overdrive button and floor it at the same time. It'll drop a couple gears for ya and take off. :D

It isn't a race car, but I didn't want a race car. It's fun to drive so I'm more then happy with it.

Wsg8tor -DO IT! I've had my XB for a month now and I absolutely love it. My family and several friends also drove it and they all want one! In fact, my good friend is actually going to buy one soon! It's a great investment and don't think about it anymore! I bought it a week after I test drove it. I just couldn't stand being without it. I have a Black Pearl XB and I put an Injen Intake on it to give it better pick up and better power going up hills. It definitely did the trick. I also am saving up for 19s with 5 or 9 spokes. Good luck and go for it!

ahoy~ welcome aboard...

as for Auto Tranny... don't be misled by people's opinion... i drive a Blue xB with Auto Trans. I have K&N CAI with ZEO exhaust on 17 rims. although the Auto Tranny may be slightly less peppy than the 5 speed...the luxury of cruising while holding ur girlfriend's hand is priceless...not to mention eating, drinking, and just relaxing in traffic jams.

i've contemplated alot between 5 speed and auto tranny...at the end...since i drive a quite a ways to my work daily...i opted for the auto tranny. it's not that bad as people make it out to be... the intake definitely helps...especially K&N typhoon intake along with exhaust.

good luck on ur purchase..it'll be the best buy ... feature-wise, reliability-wise, and fun-factor wise. enjoy~
