Default Xb camper van?

The emphasis for the Xb has been for street tuning (some even have delusions of racing the box) but I always thought that the Xb could be the VW bus for this era. Has anyone camped or modified the box for camping? Is it too small?

a camping van for legless midgets, perhaps but for the rest of us, it's more like camping at the Holiday Inn...seriously I think it's just too small to really accomplish anything in that department...

I guess when you have been driving miatas for so long, anything seems big enough to camp in.

Yep, too small. I have both an xB and a VW bus and the difference in interior space is significant. Even if you took out the rear upholstery you would still be hard pressed to fit an icebox and stove along with a bed.
