Default XB center console question

Does anybody know where I can find the screw for the console where the extra "cupholder" is between the front seats?

Its under a rubber mat in the extra cupholder. Just use a small screwdriver to push it out of the way.

get one from the dealer probobly no more than a dollar for a single screw they may have one in stock or they can always order you one. if not then find out what size and go to home depot or something ..

screws are pretty universal.

what happened if i may ask fo ryou to need that.

It kind of snaps in the front. If you look under it it is like a forked grove that slides around a bolt almost. Its white.

there are two white panel clips.

pop them out of the holes they are in.
slide them into the c channel holder on the center console.
push them back down into the holes they came out of...

these clips are just like those from the door panels... they should come up with the center console.

Yes that's the Zeta! I have the same thing. I do like it. My one complaint is that it does have the "Plasticy" sound to it when in use but it is solid as a rock!! I like the adjustable feature of it as I have a bad right shoulder so it's great support. I didn't lose total use of my back cupholder either. It makes a great catchall for backseat riders(cell phone, gum, chapstick, etc). with the added cup holder to the armrest I still have a place for the back seat riders to fight about who will use the holder.(kids!!)

My one complaint would be that Scion didn't include one from the factory, and you had to spend $200 to add it.

That's the first thing my wife said when we drove off the dealer lot in the box.

"Where's the armrest?"

I understand why it's not standard, though. With a standard armrest, the car's design would have to account for its presence: how much does it block the parking brake lever? how much does it get in the way of center storage? What if the driver and passenger disagree about whether it should be up or down? (Some very wif\de folks don't like armrests.) Should there be one wide armrest or two very skinny ones?

I've owned two minivans and, now, three subcompacts. None of the small cars had armrests (and only for the Scion is one even available, so let's be thankful!).

I have the Zeta with storage in my xB, and I'm very happy with it, although there is a certain plasticky quality to it that makes it seem cheaper than it is.

But that one is not near as cool.

Seriously though, I have even heard Scion employees say how weak that Scion factory armrest is.
